800l tank needs at least a 1t payload, probably more.

I think the 2900 vivaro can carry 1053kg - however I think 800 litre in that is not wise

depending on what you have to spend  Transit t330 or T350 MWB are good - the newer the better as anything pre 2010 seems to have tin worm

for me im after the relay/boxer/ducato again mwb in the 330 or 350 version these carry 1150 and 1500 Kg ( I have an 18 plate its fab )

then you could have a master/movano/nv400

Bear in mind the new Vivaro is just a new shape Citroen Dispatch/Peugeot Expert with a Vauxhall badge. The new Transits are known for injector trouble and poor fitting doors, also security issues. The Renault Trafic is the same as the previous Vivaro that you ate using, same as I have, and the Nissan NV300 and Fiat Talento. Can't comment on the Relay/Ducato or Movano as I have never had any experience of them. The other alternatives are VW Transporter which os really expensive, Merc Sprinter, rust bucket, SWB VW Crafter, very under powered revs quite high even in 6th gear. There's always the Hyundai iLoad too.

I’m guessing you don’t use the L2 for window cleaning?

We’ve got an Expert LWB which has a 1,400 kg payload. About the same length as an L1 Boxer and capable of carrying a pressure washer and a guttervac I’d think.

Peugeot expert/ Citroen dispatch / Toyota proace all have 1400kg payload.
Perfect for 800l tank.

I'm in the same situation - big tank and loads of equipment. I have a 3500kg LWB Fiat Ducato with a 1500kg load capacity. Works well for me - this is my fourth Ducato in 22 years. The first one had a Citroen engine that was useless, but the Fiat 2.3 TD is superb and very economical (40mpg on a good run).  I've had no problems with any of the vans at all - the third one did a 120k mile.

What about the new Citroen e-Dispatch or their PSA group equivalents? All electric van with great range and payload. Quotations will be available from 1st July with supply starting in October. Ticks all the boxes for me personally.

Diesel vans with DPFs don't seem to fit window cleaning very well, with a lot having compact rounds, lots of stopping and starting and not many (if any) motorway miles.

2.0. I've had a 1.6 and it's a gutless bag of poop in comparison. Had loads of issues with that e gone, turbo and gearbox problems.

These are older vans I'm talking about, 2014 plate and a 12 plate. Don't know how the brand new ones compare.

This latest one is an L3 H2, but the previous ones were all L2 H2. The work I do has changed in the last few years with much more commercial and less domestic - it can still be a little tight though. When I bought this van (my first new van) I'd intended to convert it to a camper/motorhome when I retired, so L3 is better. If this CV lockdown keeps going for much longer I'll be retiring at the end of the year.
