You should let him off as you obviously haven’t missed it
Yes but the same arguement can be used against the business owner. How does a business not know who owes money and what money is coming in against the work that has been done.Clearly it hasnt been missed! Yet that is no excuse not to claim the payments owed, as its admin error on both sides
Hi everyone, here’s a thing. Looked on the debt column of Aworka yesterday evening and at the top is a regular customer who suddenly owes £195! The lads cleaned him Monday and the printed sheet was showing as nothing owing. Went on his go Cardless account and it’s saying they haven’t collected any money from him since 2018 as his partner hadn’t also signed the mandate. So for almost 2 years it’s been registering as being paid, no emails or anything saying failed payment or anything until last night! Every sheet saying he was paid up to date. As you can imagine he’s furious 😡 Anyone else ever had this?
It's go cardless's mistake. They mark the mandate as active when it is not. Simples.

If say your electric provider had a similar issue do you think they would say "oh well, our fault we'll let you off with the last two years"?Fat chance.
