A5 or A6.
« on: May 26, 2020, 10:13:16 pm »
What do you guys think is best?
A6 150 gsm double sided is the cheapest with no lamination the 250 GSM isnt too much more and a bit more of a card.

Then you got the A5s which are double almost
I've had these in the past but I've heard the A6 may be better as it's smaller and can fit on the fridge etc but then they'll look a lot smaller lol.

I don't think it matters.
If the leaflet is good (whether A5 or A6) and the custy wants a window cleaner, they will call you.
Mine is A5, very upmarket and gets me work. My mates is A6, straight and to the point and he gets work.
I think as long as the leaflet looks fairly professional...size doesn't matter.
"Thank you for calling: if you have a 1st floor flat, mid terraced house, lots of dogs, no parking, no side access, or no sense of humour, please press hold!
For all other enquiries, please press1"

What sort of return do you expect from leaflets?

I've not done that many, maybe had about 20k delivered and results were pretty poor.

What you paying per 1000

Hi Gomo
So it's only about 2-3 per thousand I'm aiming for only 2 want to be realistic. In the past I'm talking 2013 lol When lee was talking about jogpost and how it all worked for him. So i gave it a go ending up losing around £350 so got about half back and thought I'll stick to canvassing which has been very successful for me it's whatever works for you end of the day ..  however as the dust settled I started realising some of those customers in 2013 we still have today it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out you actually get your investment back soon enough. And then for many years since I've always been very intrigued about the leafleting posts because I realised after 6 or 7 months I was in profit but never actually got my arse in gear as the canvassing was working very well for me
Getting the second van etc why should I change things.. but I always knew if you want to get your product out there on a bigger scale it's a very good method leafleting..
Last month I decided to do it again and I kept my mouth shut got my leaflet ready it's going to be 100k over 3 months.

The cost is essential I learnt that myself so I decided to employ my own leafleters at minimum wage I learnt that from Vin at perfect windows and mike the pressure washing chap they spoke about it a few times and its defo a good route if you find someone trustworthy it can take 5h for a thousand depending on area which will work out alot less then royal mail I've worked out if I can get £70 per thousand of turnover gross of vat and if i clean myself i should.break even if it's less then itll be even on the second clean.

There is one other avenue I want to try out which is sharing with three other leaflets it's only £20 per thousand but then you can afford to get 2 per 3000 to be on the same page but you might just get 5 per 3000 which means you'll be better off financially I know these numbers are depressing gomo they are big numbers and very little return
Makes u wonder why do people not want my service on that level !  but we must look at it purely as a business financial return!

By the way has anyone one tried sharing 3x leaflets on the cheap like £20 per thousand is it a waste and should I stick to solo?

Why not use Royal Mail?

One reason is I just want to slowly distribute 20k-30k in a month around 1k a day (dont want to be inundated as busy) and the other in the area's I'm targeting 1000 can be done in 4.5h which will be less in labour then royal mail's price per thousand.
Just want the extra enquiries to slowly trickle in
I will later use Royal Mail but I think it's best to use them when you're doing it in bigger bulk
