Yep, I've had a few. And this morning a very inconsiderate commercial customer asked if I could start again as they were going back into their offices on June 1st.  ;D

Make the most of it whilst it lasts.

There’s 8 million people currently on furlough being paid by the government, when that furlough comes to end there’ll be millions more unemployed people, many who won’t be able to afford our services anymore.

I've been getting a few as well these last several weeks.  It's worse when they just pull up in a car in which case you can't see what their property looks like.

I’ve been tending to assume those on furlough will have cancelled anyway by now unless they’ve taken a voluntary one with a secure job at the end.  For example my daughter works in facilities management and the site she’s responsible for is currently closed so she’s furloughed but as soon s the site reopens she’s back. However someone that works in a pub is on much dodgier ground and would presumably be making financial choices accordingly.

I wouldn't  assume them all to become regulars. Loads more people are home and weather has been good. How dirty their windows are would be a good indication .
Not that it bothers me, work is money and I'm not going to turn anything down just now providing its worth my time.

Remember Tom Wilkinson in the Full Monty? Couldn't tell his wife he had lost his job for six months? His character was the kind that would have had clean windows.

We've got four months before they start cancelling.

When this all started I had a new customer on the cards who ran her own events company, so she relied on weddings and outdoor parties etc for her business and income.

Understanding she might be in a bit of a pickle I phoned her up and asked if she wanted to put off our regular visit. She was very much in favour of that and I agreed, there's no problem in that so far as Im concerned. We left it that she'd call whenever this all settled down.
Anyway, I ran in to her today, happened to be pressure washing her neighbour's drive. She asked could I start going back to do her windows regularly.

Seems although she isn't likely to get anything financially of any substance from the Govt she has managed to diversify and is now offering additional services instead of just managing weddings etc, specialising currently in cream tea deliveries. She has 80 to deliver this weekend. £15.00 a pop. Case of diversifying it would seem.
