Hey lads I'm after a new brush. Usually stick to Gardiners, not really digging the look of the "jet capsules" seem a bit on the flimsy side! Is this the case or are they worth a punt? Thanks, Phil.

Now, here's a good question.
After early reports of them catching on door handles and pulling out, and Gardiners reply of how many people had asked for them.
How many, have actually twisted them out and changed the jets on their brush?

Not had a problem with mine. Swapped out pencils and fans a couple of times. Forget I have them most of the time.

If you are using a Univalve, just make sure that your pole hose is clamped securely where it comes out of the gooseneck below the brush and use the close coupled hose set Gardiner supplies for these jets and you won't have problems with them. I personally use the 100 degree fan jet capsules and can say they are better than the previous version.
Using fans and also using the tubeless setup, I have occasionally picked up a bit of grit and blocked a jet. These new jets are a doddle to clear compared to the old black ones

I didn’t like them when they first came out but I like the idea of maybe sometimes being able to change jets for different jobs,I never use fans for window cleaning but I do prefer them for weatherboard-cladding cleaning just being able to pop a couple of different jets in to the brush you prefer to use seems a good idea actually.

I think they are better than the previous plastic jets that used to break flush on the brush stock.
They are good,dont use the widget though,easier and quicker to change by hand.

Highest I can get them on without causing problems with my Univalve. On a 70psi pump that's about 9/10, 10 being the highest. it would be lower on a 100psi pump.

That's just my preference of course

I have been running mine at 50 on the box   but it seems low.   When I put into 70    it seems to high just trying to get it right   bit anoying as the old stem barb had s perfect setting. But I kept braking them I have only had one capsule conel out and I just popped it back in

No problems with any of my jet capsules since gardiner changed the brushes however I still prefer the older style as I always had a set of each fitted to my brush at the same time on rare occasion, now If I want to swap from pencils to fans for facias gutters etc I have to go back to the van and try and find the fans😡
Luckily I don’t change often anymore as I avoid add on jobs so it’s not a major issue but like I say older set up was better as I had both jets fitted at same time!

You could just fit the fans and drill 2 holes close to them and push old style pencil jets into them. Just swap the pipe over at the t branch. I have 2 brushes with fan and pencil jet I can swap between.

If they get knocked in the wrong place ie when cleaning Juliet balcony windows or patio door sills they will break. Sometimes you can put it back together if you find the other pieces to it.  As others have said using a univalve your going to need to use a clip to stop them getting tugged. Since looking at my set up closer I have less problems. But I would say have a few spare in your van for that day

Il admit at first I thought they were a complete waste of time. However after using them for a good few months now , they are a clever idea.
See , there is less (no) chance of the back of the jets snapping or getting weak now.
I don’t swap them over to pencil jets so I don’t know about that but if Gardiners are making stuff that last longer then that is a good thing. Iv never complained about the quality or longevity from Gardiners , I think they’ve got it spot on.
Unlike a certain manufacturer who’s making water stopping devices with inferior springs so they don’t last long , it’s going to drive business away from him imo .

Not a bad idea pal I didn’t even think of that lol, something I may look into if I can be bothered.
Like I say I barely do extras jobs now so just stick with my 3mm jets and don’t even know where abouts in the van my fan capsules are😂

I've ordered a spare pair of standard pencil jets and a set of 50degree fans.....i fancy trying the fans for a change......
