Explanation wfp letter needed
« on: July 08, 2006, 07:58:33 pm »
Hi have had a look at some but they are far too confusing for an old person or even some young ones.

I'm rubish at writing letters :'(

All I want to say is that

1: All your windows have been cleaned tody with a wfp system.
2:Tell them how they were cleaned and that they will be left wet.
3:Explain thats it purified water.
4:Explain how and why we need to purify water for cleaning.
5.A bit about high insurance costs & health and saftey.

That is what I want to put into a letter. Short as possible.

There was one I looked at & it was over 1 and abit A4 pages long.

My personal oppinion is that a customer cant be bothered reading a long spiel.

Straight to the point is what I need.

Can any one help on this one?

You will find that old people are the hardest to convert, not because they are old and get confused its because they have been used to trad for decades.
I have also found that most people dont even read them you find yourself explaining it to them again and again, i had one chap told me i could use as much water out of his outside tap as i needed, you are right its best to keep it short and sweet.

regards

This is what I use it came from the docs to download section

Dear Customer

The Water Fed Pole System

Your windows have been cleaned today using a method that will soon be the industry standard.  As a company wanting to be at the forefront of our industry, we have invest in this technology which involves the use of telescopic poles and 100% pure water, which we filter through a reverse osmosis system and deioniser vessels.

We are embracing this technology for a number of reasons:

 Better cleaning results.  The major advantage of pure water is its desire to return to its impure state; hence its capacity to absorb large amounts of dirt from your windows. This process involves brushing your windows clean with pure water.  As a result, they will be left wet and will need time to dry naturally.  This may be a bit disconcerting at first, as obviously this is not what our customers expect.

 Health and safety.  Health & Safety Legislation limits the use of ladders as temporary workstations.  The law now states that ladders can only be used when all viable alternatives have been considered.  Water fed pole systems are seen as a safer viable alternative and anyone not complying with this legislation could be held liable to prosecution for accidents to staff or customers.  Unfortunately, accidents do happen.  If we can do the job to a high standard whilst standing on the ground so much the better.  Also, public and employers liability insurance premiums have become unaffordable for the use of ladders, especially for staff. Therefore, ladders are no longer an option for my business.

 Environmentally friendly.  Pure water only is used, eliminating the need for detergents and chemicals.

 Reduced disturbance.  No more dents in your lawn, obviously we tried to minimise this aspect but sometimes the `old fashioned method` made it very difficult.

 Increased privacy.  No more odd faces peering through your upstairs windows.  No more embarrassing moments, believe me it does happen.

 Windows will stay cleaner.  The absence of sticky soap residue means that dirt will find it harder to cling to your windows, hence your windows stay cleaner for longer.

Additional Benefits:

As your windows will be brushed clean your frames will still be cleaned at the same time.

We can now reach with ease previously inaccessible aspects of your property.  For example, third floor windows, conservatory roofs and windows above conservatories, which we previously could not reach.

We can clean all aspects of your property.  Frames, all UPVC, paneling, canopies, guttering, fascias, garage doors, etc.

Please note, over the space of two or three visits the process will `leach` all deposits from around the frames, resulting in an improved finish each time, until ultimately the finish will effectively be sterile. Please be patient if the initial visit is not perfect, as we have been forewarned by our suppliers that two or three visits may be necessary for maximum effect.  I hope this has covered everything.  Our aim is to give a high level of service.  Please feel free to telephone to me to discuss any part of the above or indeed any other aspect of our service.  If you have any concerns about this way of cleaning your windows please let us know and we will be pleased to address your concerns.

Yours sincerely

I trimmed the same letter down and sent mine out as
                                 CMS WINDOW CLEANING

The Water Fed Pole System
Dear Customer,

Your upstairs windows have been cleaned today using a method that will soon become the industry standard – The Water Fed Pole System
The system uses extendable poles and 100% pure water that has been purified through reverse osmosis & de-ionization vessels.

We are now using this technology for a number of reasons:

1). BETTER CLEANING RESULTS – The major advantage of pure water is that it absorbs large amounts of dirt from your windows. The process involves brushing your windows clean with pure water; as such they will be left wet and will need time to dry naturally. This may be a bit disconcerting at first, as obviously this is not what our customers are used to. However, once dry your windows WILL be clean and smear free.

2). HEALTH & SAFETY – A new legislation from Europe now limits the use of ladders. The law now states that ladders can only be used when all viable alternatives have been considered, and now The Water Fed Pole System is seen as a safer and more viable alternative for window cleaning.

3). ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY – Only pure water is used, eliminating the need for detergents and chemicals.

4). IMPROVED SERVICE – We can now reach with ease previously inaccessible aspects of your property. Hard to reach windows above conservatory’s, Third floor windows, skylights, etc…

Please note that if your windows have been cleaned in the past using detergents or chemicals it may take 2 or 3 visits using our Water Fed Pole System to remove soapy residue, this may result in minor spotting on your windows. However please be assured that once this is cleared you will be more than happy with the results.

My aim is to continue to provide a high level of service. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding the above or any other aspect of our services.
                                                    Thanks Chris.

I really wouldn't bother with the letter mate...

When I gave an explanation letter to some of my customers it confused them... It was more hassle than its worth.

Thanks chriss, that looks good but the only problem I feel I would have is explaining why I'm doing the downstairs windows with the system, especially after telling them the main reasons for the switch Is due to working at hieght saftey issues.

If they ask why dont I do traditional downstairs I could always say, "There's no point getting two tools out for the job, and I have no option but to do upstairs windows with this system.. So that means no squeegee anymore" ;D ;D

When I switched over nobody questioned the fact that I cleaned all the house in the new way, they just accepted it.

Wouldn't worry about it myself, just go for it.
