skyvac atom rigid neck
« on: May 11, 2020, 08:45:58 am »
Hi guys
Has anybody ever found, or have any idea where, I could find a rigid neck to fit my standard skyvac atom 38mm poles?
As great as it is for a little machine, I feel it is let down a bit by the soft flexi necks supplied.
TYI

Have you spoke to Mark at Spinaclean about this?

Make your own out of solvent weld waist pipe and fittings works a treat and will cost less than £5

I don't think any of the Sky Vac fittings that are marked with "elite" are compatible with the the Atom or 38mm poles.

As far as I can tell the Atoms only come with what you would have been sent in your pole bag.

This is for the other 44mm diameter poles that come with the atom and commercial

I stand corrected. Quite pricey do you think the rigid neck will improve gutter work that much more than the flexi necks that come as standard? If so perhaps they should be factored into the price of the package and do away with the plastic necks. The machines poles and hose all work very well but I think the tools let them down and need much better development. Shame dyson doesn't do gutter vacs

We use the skyvac carbon ridged neck it’s very good it’s also useful to have the silicon bends as well in some situations , we mix and match , the ridged neck is better when lifting or cutting heavy turfs out of the gutter

Shame they don't tell you that the end tools for the Atom 7 pole pack aren't compatible with the upgraded carbon rigid neck and the extra attachments that fit the rigid neck after spending well over £200 are nearly £40.00 each.

Getting on well with the Atom so far machine is fine, poles are fine but end tools in my opinion are under developed over priced and let the other bits of kit down a bit. Also I feel the end tools are essential items in vacing out debris so shouldn't be over looked by companies who are market leaders in gutter vacuums.

Could do with a company like Dyson or Gardiners to develop gutter gear  ;D
