What is the latest go to for window cleaning software lads? I'm still with WCP. Not sure if they still offer any back up advice either. Does anyone know?

Yep.  ;D
Its works fine for the two of us. It has its limitations so it wouldn't suit a business with numerous employees like yours.  A cloud based program is much better for keeping a track of each job by each employee with a central controller but it comes at a cost we can't justify.

From experience George doesn't work with employees especially when the employer is also a window cleaner.

Yes, still use George.  Does what I need it to do without any costs.

Use a tablet to take with me in the van allowing me to add or edit jobs out and about. Get home and dock it to a keyboard and let it charge.

George was the base and experimental program for the future planned Aworka cloud based program at £12 per month plus your phone account. Paul advised recently that there was no customer demand for Pocket George app on Android.

Personally I believe that this is a marketing strategy.  I could see offering Pocket George as an option on Android would discourage the use of Aworka which he needs to promote. From a purely commercial perspective George at a one time software payment of £50 isn't a money earner.

We purchased George on the 14th July 2006 when George was in the early development days. The program had many software glitches in those days that we helped to iron out with complaints. In the early days there were numerous updates to resolve issues we had discovered using it.  The program was very basic and Paul added features over time such as expenses and invoicing. By the time that was added we already had other programs for expenses, invoicing and statements so have never used them.

Had we started to use Aworka in July 2006 (it wasn't around yet) at £12 a month this software would have cost us around £2000. There's a big difference between that and a one time cost of £50 + VAT.

We are fortunate that if we have a problem Paul will still help. Most software developers would have advised that support is no longer available many years ago.

Its the same as Microsoft Office. In 2007 you bought the complete package for £x with support. Now you can't buy Microsoft Office. You can use it online for free and store your documents in the cloud or pay any annual subscription if you want it on your computer. They keep advising me that they are now longer offering support on Office 2007 and I must upgrade my program.

You have to tranfer your data from your last backup. There is a program on the website for you to do this.
