hi guys, what pole hose is everyone using with the univalve?,  i,m finding it really difficult to shut the water off when the pole is fully extended, works perfectly when closed, so i,m assuming the hose as stretched..cheers

This is the hose Exceed Innovations sells, the designer and manufacturer of the Univalve.

Some also use Gardiners PU hose but I don't know which one they recommend.

Exceed's hose is stiff. It coils up easily for storage but needs to be uncoiled or spun out before raising the pole. If you don't it will become a bird's nest at the bottom of the pole.

We have used Exceeds hose - the same stuff since the days of the Aquadaptor, a good 10 years ago now.

I have been using the univalve for a number of years and alway used the gardiner green pu hose. When using it at 22 and most certainly 35 have to pull a bit more but still works.

Pole hose with less stretch is essential.

Univalves will often play up if the pressure in your system is too high.
This is usually caused by trying to force too much water through your jets and creating back pressure in the hose.
If this situation exists, the extra stretch in the longer length of hose in an extended pole will make it more difficult to operate the Univalve.

Try turning your flow down a little

I estimated that time period. I've just gone through the records and our first Aquadaptors were purchased in August 2010.  Scary isn't it?

It was a no brained then, as the univalve is today, defo a top 3 invention for window cleaning

.... and weight.  That side of the debate got so heated that Steve worked hard to shave grams off of it and it still wasn't good enough.

My day to day pole is an slx22 with a Univalve. The spare pole on the van is also an slx22 but with an old Aquadator on it. I honestly can't feel much difference when using either pole.

I also agree with what you say. The original Aquadaptor and now Univalve has to be one of the top inventions for wfp ever. It made my window cleaning life so much easier. I also must add that it came at the right time as I had just exchanged my Teleplus poles with Vikan brushes to Gardiner CLX poles with Superlites.  And of course the next step was changing my clx22 for an slx22 just over 8 years ago now. (Its the same pole but with smart clamp upgrade.)

The blue hose exceed supply now is much much better than it used to be.  I would recommend it over hot water hose
