nobody cares anymore.........weathers been great too.......boris will ease the lockdown on sunday i reckon....

my prediction....barbers and hairdressers will be open for business once again and certain non essential shops,etc.....

ive never seen so many people out and about,cycling,walking,running...people of all ages as lots of people are off work/school....

all the local druggies and alcoholics are all out around here..no social distancing whatsoever...one even tried to shake my hand when i got in from work this afternoon! ::)roll.....i politely swerved him! ;D

Absolutely no chance barbers and hairdressers will be opening up any time soon, they値l be among the last, along with pubs and restaurants.

There was a peice on the news today of an undercover investigation on Barbers.  Found a few still taking bookings in the sly.

More proof that too many of the UK ignore and show lack of respect of the guidlines.   Boris has been too weak policing this.    A more firm handed police powers should have been given.  Much more heavier fines too.

Bring out the water cannons  ;D

Barbers and  hairdressers have gone underground behind closed doors. Local news report last night  in South East. Out of 50 contacted 19 agreed to cut hair by appointment back of shop or in their own homes.

Well - they may need to earn a living as well, same as the poor old car washers - just keep the windows closed and you'll be fine 😷
Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

Terrible, who do they think they are?  Anyway, signing off now as I'm off to enjoy a Carvery with friends and then onto the theatre.

i dont think theyll stay closed danny.......women are gagging for the hairdressers to open now.....i agree pubs, restaurants will be the last to open IMO but not hairdressers/barbers......

you and the barber will just have to wear a mask and use hand sanitiser IMO and disposable gowns......

Time will tell, but just because women have got their roots showing won稚 be enough reason so open the hairdressers 😂

When you consider that one barber/hairdresser comes into close contact with around 10-15 people per day, and the incubation period of Covid-19 is as long a 10-14 days, that痴 a serious amount of people that could be infected.

I知 guessing it値l be July/August before Barbers can open.

Back on wibbles  OP,  the media  hav'nt helped by announcing  Bojo's announcements ahead of him making any announcements with regards to some restrictions being lifted this coming Sunday/Monday. That plus good weather. This has been a lock down in name only, not an enforced one unless you fancied a walk in the lakes or a day out to the seaside.

We should have had  a proper full on enforced lock down from the beginning, not open to interpretation  of 'guidelines'.  We are all going to regret this for years to come.

The rules where always going to get flouted more the longer we where in lockdown, its one of the reasons why the government didn't lockdown earlier.
Wouldn't it have been better to lockdown earlier?
You know, the longer you leave something, the worse it gets. Usually.

In hindsight yes. But it's too late for that now. Italy warned us, we took no notice. We now have the highest death toll in Europe, second only to the US. Restrictions will be lifted gradually because the economy demands it. Unfortunately I think that's only going to prolong it.  We've already shown as a society  we cannot be trusted to follow 'guidelines'.  We are a long way from being out of the woods. Italy on the other hand, enforced lock down, empty streets, no exercising outside or only travel to work if you can't work from home nonsense. They will recover far quicker than we are going to.

I agree about the lockdown being too late but it was because the government blew it and not because they were worried about how we'd deal with the restrictions.
They're not even dealing with the restrictions!
