half the people on here are self confessed manic depressives, the other 45% are ex alcoholics. Only 5% are of sound, undamaged mind which creates a serious uphill battle with common sense!😲🤐😆

And you're not in the 5% there's no doubt about that.

"Self confessed"
Think about that.😘

Na, you've lost me.

Go on, I'll give you that, thats an opening for you...

what is the point you are trying to make ?

Just trying to assess if you have full control of your faculties.

Now I know. Thanks.  ;)

Don't ask me later though. There is a limit to what you can consume with so much time off looking at four walls !!

Sorry mate don’t want to argue with you . I just saw you saying 1 in 8 chance of dying from coronavirus and in my opinion that is wrong. I’m not an expert and nor are you . The experts haven’t a clue either so it’s pointless getting wound up on here

1% mortality rate so 99% of us WILL RECOVER if we get covid19.........that puts this virus into perspective.....👍

You're off your nut.

88k positive, 11k dead ? I make that a 1 in 8 chance, not 1 in 100.

If they are uk numbers then we only count the number tested and deaths that have been in hospital ( the worst cases)
Try Germany’s numbers for a better perspective . More testing = more people counted as recovered= better mortality rate
Thats ok mate, i can understand your confusion. It looks like a Foreign Countries stats doesn't it ? However i can assure you that HM Government means "Her Majestys Government", i can also assure you that "NHS" in the little blue box means National Health Service. I can also tell you, as i can see its a bit hard to make out that the number tested is 290k. I was impressed by the way you picked up on the fact we can only count the number of people tested. Astute, i like it. When and if i decided to go live in Germany then i'll go check their figures and see what my chances are there, but seeing as i live in the UK i'll just go with what the UK Gov figures say ? Thats our best bet don't you think ? Or for an even better perspective, rather than say.... Germany, should i go check Icelands figures ?

The self righteous aren't interested in perspective Dazmond.
Isn't that self righteous?
What sort of perspective does a 1% mortality rate give us? What would be the number of deaths?
I might need a drink after this.

Nothing wrong in being scared Griff, its thinking that being scared somehow makes you better than those who aren't which is the self righteous bit, as for perspective, stop wibbling on about numbers and other things you haven't a clue about, fact is unless you have a medical condition that puts you at more risk then the chances of you dying from this virus are almost zero, the same goes for family and friends, harping on like a demented fool wont change that.

You need to get a grip Clean, posting pictures of sick children proves nothing more than sick children can get this virus, and we are in lockdown to protect the sick and vulnerable or more importantly from them overwhelming the NHS, again if you don't have a medical condition that puts you at risk then the chances of you dying from this virus are almost zero, that's a fact whether you like it or not.

Thats what i'm saying mate, i agree with you. Most of us are gonna be ok, its just gonna be sick kids, or people grannys. Don't worry about them, that picture of that kid doesn't bother me one iota, i don't even know the kid i'm not bothered, Fact is i don't think it will affect me. Its all over hyped and you made your point well, if we gotta lose some then we gotta lose some. That kid probably bothers you more than me. What bothers me is knowing you are right, practically all World leaders are thinking different than you. And to be frank with you, this is where i struggle a bit trying to understand it all. Who to believe..... a Window Cleaner from Norn Iron.... or the rest of the World Leaders ? I'm leaning towards what you say to be honest, its making more sense.

I reckon all those doctors and nurses who lost their lives must have had underlying health problems or were over seventy years old.
Wouldn’t think they’d need visors, masks, gloves etc when the risks are so low.

not one person has been infected by another person that has no symptoms (but has the virus) according to the experts/stats......this is great news.......
