Actually been catching up on a few diy jobs around the house last couple of days- not used to this working malarkey mind!!🤣
Will continue to do the same for as long as is required.👌

Over the last 3 weeks I’ve seen more and more WCs working wait for about 3-4 weeks time when they say certain trades-workers won’t be getting 12 weeks pay now as outside workers can return to work 😂,be window cleaners everywhere.
How can it be ok for a window cleaner to sit on his arse at home and get paid and a bin man be out working for his living,I think that just about tells you it’s ok to be out working when council-government workers still are.

another full day every customer offered the chance to skip. only 2 skipped out of 20. just texting for tomorrow no skips yet. had 1 miss today. said do them this time then leave it till all this is over. i said Probally best to miss this time. got loads to do any way so done me a favour.   The funny thing she was leaning over the fence talking to her neibour. The neibour had his done.  Shes a bit of a pain any way so most likely ill dump.  Just to clarify not dumping because she skipped because of the virus. shes  skipped before and always been hard to get payment. Always pays eventually but can never catch her in and wont pay by bacs.

Binmen are key workers; good on them. I thanked ours today.
Window cleaners are not key workers.

Out working as normal.

Anyone received a letter from HMRC yet saying we are entitled to 80%?

I still don’t think we are entitled to it. I’ll be working till told otherwise.

I wonder how many people have got corona from his letters. Quite ironic really.

We will be, Jonny.

And window cleaners are allowed to refrain from work. And some window cleaners cannot work.

No - no change to the overall message STAY AT HOME

Darran

That's what people are doing, Daz, when they're not working from home because they can't and have to travel to work.

They're staying at home.

There’s a difference  isn’t there - can’t work from home so you have to travel to work, I take that as a destination - not travel around all day visiting upto 20 different houses washing windows -
I find it strange that all of a sudden everyone on this board works rural, never sees a soul, never work or park on a public pavement - that’s even more miraculous considering all the kids are home and the weather is good

Darran

Hi Darren. I rarely see customers in my working day, until the last couple of week.
I have texted everybody saying I’m well will keep social distancing and asked them to text me back if the want me to call. 75% have welcomed me. In a predominantly lonely job, I never felt so loved as I have this week with so many working from home
I respect anyone who chooses to stay at home, but I’ve enjoyed  being  back on the glass and working safely and within government guidelines
Stay safe.

Simply put, we still loose money due to the virus.  How many have lost commercial work!   Ive had to postpone several larger jobs as well due to not being able to get deliveries of products and the list goes on.
Yes we may still be able to work but not all are able to work as we would minus the virus

I'm not 100% certain that I'll get it. If I don't get it, I don't get it.
But I'm fairly certain that the government won't differentiate between all the different types of the self employed.

Ive worked ever since this has started ,and to be honest I always knew I had a great customer base but Ive been really amazed at the reaction since all this began. I always give the customer a choice to skip if they wish ,but in the last nearly three weeks now just had two who wanted to.
People have given me bottles of wine ,cans of beer and I just haven't been able to get round all my customers as picked up new houses who are not normally in, and extra work ,gutter cleaning ,cons roofs
Even the reaction from general public has been very good ,even though must admit it didn't feel right at the beginning. Also chatted with a couple of bobbies on the beat today and they had no problem what so ever with me working .

I used to have loads of pubs and clubs until they introduced non smoking and started losing them to closing down now i only have a couple of pubs and about dozen or so shops which are closed so not realy lost alot to the virus, all i have done is slowed my work down just enough to pay bills not realy bothered about extra at mo till this is all over and back to normal
