One of us goes to AA. The other doesn't. If you wanna see how bladdered i am, its dead simple............... i'm on your messenger, you can video call me. Just for a chat and a laugh................. i'll welcome your call.

That's the Toilet Duck talking.  ;D

The next stage will be wanting a fist fight with me.

Then I'll be your bestest mate.

I did suspect as much and now I think you are correct; after all he has taken my baited hook

You wasted more time on a drunk than i would. What was it you where trying to do before, just remind me.... you where giving out guidelines.. but now it was a "baited hook" ? Am i getting that right ?

No, Clean - you're mixing up the wanderings of this thread - one is firing on all fours, whatever that means - another is shopping and how to remain safe in this pandemic of epic proportions - another is taking Tosh's word without proper authorisation (wibbling) but which Griff says wasn't his all along - another is the large map of Africa on your jeans when you have drunk alcohol which isn't essential in this pandemic epic epidemic aspic. Then you have to remember to eat no ham, beef, bacon to save the NHS and ameliorate (my word- not Griff's or Tosh's) the Coronuvirus N-n-n-n-n-n-nineteen.  ;D

'Wibbling' is a Toshism, AuRavelling.

Please find your own phrases.

Sorry, Tosh.

Clean brews his own Toilet Duck; he's probably bladdered on it now with a large map of Africa on the crotch of his jeans.

Just in case you haven't realised. ;D

Is alcohol an "essential" during this pandemic of epic proportions?
It is, funnily enough. That's why off licences were allowed to stay open.
But you're confusing essential items and essential shopping. If you fancy a bag of pickled onion Monster Munch with your Malibu it's not considered essential to nip to the shop for it. Obviously, you won't get nicked or have to explain yourself but it isn't really essential, is it?
But if you did run into a bobby and told him what you were doing, he could send you back home.
It's not that difficult, is it?

No Griff. Off licences are allowed to remain open but they aren't essential because you can get your six pack of Tennants 9% at the Co-op. Any good copper can tell you that.

It's safer to be anywhere than a supermarket right now. You may have to queue keeping a 2m distance outside but inside the plan goes to pot, especially queueing to pay as people forget and naturally bunch up. I have stopped using supermarkets and use the local shops to me as everyone knows each other in our village and everyone has a greater respect for the 2m rule at all times thus making it a safer environment then a supermarket.

I think that is a good point. After all you can get all you need to have a balanced diet at most corner shops. So anyone going to a large supermarket is obviously not following the spirit of government guidelines.
Are you firing on all fours ? "Corner shops" here all mostly "Asian" owned/run............ no ham/bacon/beef. They mostly all collectivley  run from the likes of Bestway (cash and carries, etc. ) they do not have capacity to take up the surge from Tesco/Sainsbury/Asda/Lidl/Aldi/Co Op/ SPar etc......

Firing on all fours? I'm sure you mean "firing on all four".

Why do you need ham, bacon, or beef? Not essential surely? Eating ham, bacon and beef is known to contribute towards blocked arteries and thus putting more strain on hospital resources. This increases your chances of a heart attack or stroke and the need for an ambulance.

Save the NHS!
Thats ok mate, i'll leave it now. I've said my piece and made my feelings clear. If i made them any clearer to you i'll get banned, so you get the picture. Thats exactly what i think of you. And then i'll just carry on as normal................

We've worked this week, or done a chunk of work this week to be more precise.

No problems apart from overly chatty customers pleased to have a distraction to their day, when I just want to get working and listen to an audio book.

Many of them asked about our wellbeing and we asked about theirs.

No negative responses from any of them, though these were nice houses in affluent areas, so generally - but not always - brighter customers who understand that window cleaners - following the government guidelines - pose no threat to them.

I'm going to guess if you worked in some sink estate, the really thick there just hear the 'stay at home' message and don't understand the nuances.  The same type of ones who kick off on facebook because a shelf stacker got a bit too close to them.

Putin's getting tough in Moscow.

"The Russian parliament has approved an “anti-virus” package of laws including up to seven years in prison for serious violations of quarantine rules."

It's not nonsense. That's why off licences are still open. They're not my laws. A shop selling an essential item doesn't have to be an essential shop selling an essential item. Off licences are essential retailers.

I'm sorry that you didn't like me posting nonsense on your posts. But it is a forum and you could always block me.

You'd best take that up with the government. Those are the guidelines whether you like them or not.
It's essential not compulsory. Window cleaning is allowed but not compulsory.
You can take it up with the government about the conscientious objectors too. I've no objections to that.
