How old is the tank ? - have you had a period of inactivity or exposed to sunlight for a period of time  - I suspect you have a bit of bacterial contamination - add 1 cup of bleach to the tank - give it a good clean - drain and refill  - check tds

That sounds odd.

When tank is shallow does it read the same tds and a full tank?  If it does I doubt it is contamination from the tank as the fuller the tank the more diluted it will be.

I can only think there is another source of waster going into the tank at the same time as filling.

Hi all purification is bang on as soon as water starts filling full or shallow it’s reading higher so I think I may have a leak and water is leaking into tank that’s my only thought if I use my quick fill to fill my bucket it still reads high thanks for reply’s andy

So is this an in van set up?
If your reading is 000 at the point of exiting the membranes and then showing a higher reading once in the tank. Have you checked your hoses for blockage of some type of contaminate?

Its very unlikely that something in the tank or due to the tank is causing you this problem,  just by the volume of water in the tank.
I would check all your connections and hoses from membranes onwards

yes when full -

there could be a residue from the manufacturing process ( possibly)

This is more likely the answer.

If there is something in your tank you should at least be removing some of it with each fill and empty, so its strange that the tds keeps staying the same.

Pump strainer filled with dirt? Where are you taking the tds reading from in the system? After the strainer?
