Do you consider catching germs/virus a good thing or bad thing?
I think for most of us it'll be a good thing. As long as the medical services aren't over-stretched at the time (just in case we're in the minority that react badly to it).
This isn't as weird as it sounds; before the 1960s when vaccinations became the norm, mum's would hold measles parties where all the kids would go around a play in the house of a child who has the measles.
It gave them immunity. Measles when your young isn't a problem. Measles when you're older is serious.
Without a vaccine, the herd immunity that so many scoffed at, is probably the only viable exit strategy.
