Texed Customers last night if they want us to turn up
« on: April 03, 2020, 03:28:00 pm »
Well I put the feelers out last night asking Customers if they still want us to Supply our Window Cleaning service to them.      YES PLEASE    most of replies.     That was around 20 only.       not one Negative.   I could not believe the positive replies.
I plan to message them with a date and time slot.     no note in letterbox    no contact . just pay online etc.    I will park outside there house , clean / Gone.       9am / 12pm     Get some work done, get some cash flow coming back in.       Just enough to take the pressure off.    1 / 2 days a week to see how it goes
Or until im told im not allowed to go out to work.
June is a way ahead,   NOT guaranteed to be contacted.

ive only had one job this week who wants to suspend for a few months until the 12 week isolation period is over.thats fine by me as its only a £10 4 weekly.....

I wouldn’t send out texts like that i sent some out saying I’ll be round to clean them at X,what you are doing is giving them a reason to say leave it please.

I  worked a day last this week.. The first one for over a week.. I changed my mind so many times should I or shouldn't I.. Had no problems with customers they was all great.. Got home read the news that 500 people had died that day.. So put it into perspective for me.. Not worked since.. I really need the money but untill the  figures start going down I don't think I'll be working

Get out to work you can't spread it if you follow the guidance.
I was in a dillema worked today it was great no problems no bad vibes.
Will be working from now on.
People die every day usual death rate is 600000 a year.

I’ve carried on as normal
All my customers have been great.
I even have customers phoning me just to make sure I’m coming.

It'll only affect us when our customers start to die.
Or if we start to die.
Let's hope they don't happen.

Back to original post.  Might be worth scrapping posting the slip through letterbox and move to a text confirmation

as I said,  no posting a note in letterbox .    they get a text.     if I feel comfortable  with no crap off non customers   ill see how to go ahead in the next few months.       The thing is I do not have all customers numbers.       So I do not want to turn up for them to tell me to go away.      I think ill leave the oldies alone .

As  they keep saying   work only if you cannot work from home.     It fecked it up for us when they first said   for Essential Workers Only   to go to work.

I was in Aldi today, bumped into a Customer,  60s      They were wondering why I hadn't been round working.   I told him,  stopped working staying at home.      He says its your Bussiness ,   you need to work.

If you’ve got the numbers just a short text saying window cleaner Tomorrow-today-in an hour etc,we are trying to carry on as usual at the moment but are aware of social distancing as you pay online this won’t be a problem.
I hope this is ok if things get any worse and we are told we are unable to work we will let you know when we return to our normal schedule.

Just to answer the original question. I would continue to ask customers. Its a deadly virus and yes I get it we can safely work........I'm still working too. However if the customers aren't comfortable with you there DONT GO. They might also have financial worries and so window cleaning isn't priority. Btw I've only had 1 cust postpone
