I think his business model makes it more difficult for him than the average sole trader, we can be more flexible.

All his customers are on go cardless and he has lower margins, easier for us to respond to customers on more of an individual basis if necessary.

Also being an employer government aid is available to his business, so it is probably easier to temporarily close.

Window cleaning is very low risk. It's not zero though. It's also very difficult to run a business when every time any of your staff coughs they need to be off for a fortnight.

We closed on Tuesday after the unclear message of Monday nights speech. We will re open Monday as it is now clear that we can in fact work in line with government advice. We will continue until the guidelines change to saying we cannot work. I will add that I respect both groups of people here in their own choice to work or not. Everyone's situation is different and for now the phrase do the right thing means different things to different people.

While being closed this week I was in the office alone trying to get my head round it and every call I answered was a customer asking when we are coming or wanted to book something extra or asking why we are shutting. At the same time my team all wanted to work. Until the government remove my choice to be open (which they haven't) we will be open.

I’ve not had 1 customer say to me what do you think you are doing working they’ve all been supportive and the same thing,as long we keep our distance that’s all we need to do.
It’s my customers that are carriers anyway because this is looking like it’s a posh virus 🤣🤣🤣🤧

I am working with Ray Mears and Bear Gryills I’m so far out the way I’m having to eat berries and rub sticks together to keep warm, like I say I’ve got more chance catching this in a dirty shop when I’m getting a few bits to eat with my Mrs.
