Would you say the grant is there to encourage us not to work then?
Why wouldn’t they just say “don’t work” if that was the case?
(Genuinely asking, as it seems odd to me that you can technically earn whilst qualifying for this grant)
Ok, imagine you are an alarm installer. You no longer feel able to go into peoples houses to put in new systems, do annual checks and the like. But if the thing goes off or fails it's an emergency. Same with a gas fitter. So you do work a bit but not a lot.

But I would imagine that there will be a lot that just crack on, using the line “I can be social distant from customers” as the reason.
Only working in an emergency wasn’t given as a stipulation. In fact, to me, it seemed like the self employed were being actively encouraged to try and crack on as normal.
