Bit I highly doubt we will get anything out of this.

We are going to be classed as “can work safely”.
That’s fine with me as long as custies want us there !
What then
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Friend of mine contacted me earlier. He works as a window cleaner in Rhyl, North wales

Was pulled over by police whilst going to his first job this morning and was told he shouldn't be out working and to go home.

Surely it depends on the customers allowing us to continue

If they say we cant work then we cant work so should qualify as being out of work

Anyway i cleaned a few today, didnt feel great, very awkward with everyone in.

Going to sack it off for the rest of  week and see what has happend by monday

i got this email from my accountant this morning, too early to tell what help we will get yet

That sounds like the transcript taken from some so called doctors YouTube video !

He got called out on the truth of some of his facts , he then apologised and redid his video

Do you think the government will give us money for having 'awkward feelings'?

Maybe they could call it The Awkward Feeling Allowance?

Taken from the BBC website:-

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has promised help for the self-employed  and will announce a package of support on Thursday at the government's daily press conference, a government source told the BBC.

Honestly at this point, I don’t think there will be anything for us. I can see them producing a list of what occupations are safe and we will be on that list.

I’m not saying it’s b******s per se, but in these times of opinions hiding as facts, I’m interested as to the source...?

We should go on strike if that’s the case. Oh  :-\
We look at them, they look through them.

Boris is not a shambles, very easy for many to say....the general public is a shambles!

His government has made an utter shambles of messaging the rules about who should and should not work. It's no wonder the public doesn't know which way to turn. Blaming them is lazy.

In time of crisis people panic. They need strong, clear, repeated messages from their government.  It's interesting that his government spaffed £60m on the crystal clear and simple message Get ready for Brexit yet they can't seem to muster anything like the same effort and clarity for something far more important and urgent.  Shambolic.

Here's a summary of the five different messages the govt gave out in the space of 24 hours: https://www.revk.uk/2020/03/business-as-usual-or-is-it.html

Joe average is pretty thick though.  There was still confusion about who could work and who couldn't even when the rules were published and the Health Secretary said clearly what they were.

People want to believe what they believe and will refuse to believe otherwise in the face of all the facts.

And any operation involving the whole of the UK will run into problems and mis-communication.  To believe otherwise is naive and shows a lack of knowledge about the basics of project management.  A battle plan never survives the first contact.

I'd give it time for the virus to peak and lets see what the outcome is before we judge what's shambolic or not.

This is what I'll judge him on:

Quote
UK coronavirus death toll of 20,000 'a good outcome', says chief scientific adviser

And that may sound like a big number but we're a population of 67 million and we get several thousand deaths a year from seasonal flu.  I think it was 2015/16 we had 15,000 deaths because of some problem with the flu vaccine and the wrong kind of virus.

So 20,000 deaths is good (as long as I'm not one of them; obvs).

Nope but I can't work like that. Like working on Sunday during a thunderstorm at 6am in the morning.

The feeling was strong

Drink hot drinks the virus will already be inside cells in your throat not hanging about waiting to washed away with a hot drink.

Feelings aren't facts.

But I like siting on my arse, so let's hope we get some free money.

Well what can I say, Nicola Sturgeon you have went up in my estimation. During your clear and concise speech to the masses yesterday you encouraged me, as a self employed window cleaner to continue to work within the community, which I duly did. It’s quite obvious that your message was heard loud and clear as all of my customers were expecting me and indeed they were glad to see me, in fact I reckon I’ve saved a few divorces today as it must have been good for said customers to speak to someone ( at a 2 metre distance I may add ) rather than their other half. I’m delighted to say that as a result of my efforts today a percentage of the money I earned will be winging it’s way into the the treasuries coffers.
Like many I used to see you as a Jimmy Krankie lookalike, I now think you have more a resemblance to Jemima Khan! I could muff dive you quite happily right now................Ok I’ve took that too far😂😂

Going to work is built into the modelling chaps.

I’m not working for the rest of the week to let things settle but I’ve got to say, that was pretty conclusive.
You should (or at least are allowed) to work if you cant work from home.
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Letting all the thousands  of Athletico Madrid fans fly into Liverpool for a Football match was built in to the modelling (even though Football matches where banned in Spain), letting all the St.Patricks night celebrations go ahead was built into the modelling, Cheltenham racing went ahead. You'll pose no problem, i'm sure  ;D
