With the pressure mounting on him, He may just have to pay out to all in the short term if they want a full lockdown or for at least the next month while they can come up with a fairer plan for all. Nobody should be gaining out if this at all.
But it's certainly more complicated to do  then the PAYE system.

All I want is what the employed get !

Do this for me and in return I will take  the 20 minutes required to strip out my DIY van mount and then my van and me are at the disposal of the NHS or whoever needs help in the fight , I will even pay fuel myself !

It’s all about swings and roundabouts for me
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Who's been cleaning Charlie's windows?

https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-prince-charles-tests-positive-for-covid-19-11963363

Blimey! After hearing that I think Boris will go for full lock down. To be honest I think the government were just stalling until it gets proper out of control. India is in full lock down and hardly anyone has died there.
We look at them, they look through them.

But you’ll sit there pontificating, like that LBC presenter James O’Brien til the cows come home offering nothing but toxicity, ill-will  and a general sense of doom and gloom to the whole thing.

Well done.

I think they were just stalling untill they get all these bills past today, today's speech could be the big one, in regards to lockdowns and self employed help as looks like parliament is shutting it's doors tonight.

Kids are off school, nice weather, no one allowed to go anywhere much, so everyone’s in the garden. How’s it going to look when the window cleaner turns up? Lots of people have small gardens so can’t see the 2 metre rule being observed especially with kids running around. I think many customers would rather not bother with window cleaning rather than risk anything or have the hassle of getting everyone inside while he’s there.
Don’t think that Nicola Sturgeon has thought it through properly.

Boris is not a shambles, very easy for many to say....the general public is a shambles!

Many have ignored him for weeks and now the curve rises more are listening, shame on many.

Greatest morale boost I've had in a long time - going out to work this morning.
Even picked up a new job, could have had pressure washing too if I did it.
Customers aren't bothered, two were in the back yard and went inside until we'd finished.
Additional bonus one who always paid cash is now going to pay online.
Just didn't get the coffees and teas.

And so he should. They’ve earn’t him enough.

Soupy’s weird, he alternates between James O’Brien and George Galloway. Now you want to imply he’s got a touch of Snow White about him 😅😅

Well he's offered something then, hasn't he?
We're still waiting on Boris. To be fair, it's an unprecedented problem that he's facing. That's why I'm not offering 'toxicity' about him. And some are a little sensitive about it, too.
When it suits.

India is in full lock down and hardly anyone has died there.

Half of India's population have no access to a flushing toilet.  Nearly a billion of them still defecate out doors.

I wouldn't trust any figures with regards Covid-19 from India because I don't believe they have the infrastructure to account for them.

And remember, no nation can lock down it's population for 12 to 18 months.  That's just not a solution.

Just listening to Borris Johnson at PM's question time and Corbyn is quizzing him over pay for the self employed.

BoJo says he's putting a package together but noted that he is NOT closing down the UK economy.

I take it from that, that he's - somehow - going to compensate those who can't work, not those who can.  For example the tourist industry cannot work.  Small shop owners that rely on tourists cannot work.  Those kinds of occupations.

I'm not sure how window cleaners fit into that because some of us can work and some of us can't (window cleaners who rely on commercial properties - for example - like shopping malls, will be hit harder than those who do residential).

It kind of makes sense because self employed on-line retailers are making a killing right now.  Should they be compensated too?

If your being compensated I think you would have to show a “cease of trading” while your being compensated.

That’s one way round it.

But I highly doubt we will get anything out of this.

We are going to be classed as “can work safely”.
