I understand the sentiment but the NHS don't make the laws.

I presume, given the advice of the government who are led by the chief medical officer (and science officer) that the NHS would be happy if we just followed the rules already outlined.

I can't see there being any basis for window cleaners who're able to distance themselves from their customers being a driver of corvid-19.

When all this is over I know how I'm going to feel about my actions.

I listened to Sturgeon again:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnDE_MX5d5M&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR3NB2UYc-ewPBHwB9rch7q-8BgkhVFKTG22UVK8YeRVjMH-S04UdUXbDmM

She talks specifically about self employed window cleaners who can go about their business safely, and we would encourage them to do so, because it's good for the community.
It’s also good for the coffers, the more people they can get out there working safely, the less of a financial hole there is to plug.

Lads, you can take advice on working or not working from window cleaners, or you can take it from the government:

How the hell is it good for the community? People are dying and Iosing their jobs left right and centre. Struggling to buy/find food & medicine, struggling to pay their mortgage so having to take a 3 month payment holiday.  it’s another bill that people can do without at a time like this.
Whether sturgeon said we can or we can’t , IMO it’s morally wrong

Most of my customers are relatively wealthy, retired, or still in gainful employment.

Those that lose their jobs are more than welcome to sack/pause me.

Christ; since when has going to clean windows been morally wrong?

I clean a Hannover Court property (jam packed with elderly at risk people) and they just don't want us to do the inside areas and to give prior notice.

They still want their windows cleaned though.

Morally wrong; that's funny.

What do the NHS staff say mate ? Did you ring any up yet ?

There's about a million NHS staff; the NHS is bigger than the Chinese army.

I bet there's lots of different views.

So I listen to the Chief Medical Officer who advises the government.
And then you ignore the government advice.

Do a risk assessment.
If you’re happy to work, risk is controlled etc, then that’s fine. Same as any other day.

So you're a curtain twitcher!  ;D

Matt Hancock said in parliament today that if people can still go to work, then they should.   In the daily briefing he went onto talk about the 2 meter rule; he says it's being applied in parliament too.  He's only the health secretary.

Sturgeon gave advice and specifically mentioned window cleaners and gardeners being lone workers and able to carry on, saying it was good for the community.

Mine are not.

Make them lone workers for the time being then , bring a few quid in and do your workers a favour at the same time .
