I understand the sentiment but the NHS don't make the laws.

I presume, given the advice of the government who are led by the chief medical officer (and science officer) that the NHS would be happy if we just followed the rules already outlined.

I can't see there being any basis for window cleaners who're able to distance themselves from their customers being a driver of corvid-19.

She talks specifically about self employed window cleaners who can go about their business safely, and we would encourage them to do so, because it's good for the community.

It’s also good for the coffers, the more people they can get out there working safely, the less of a financial hole there is to plug.

How the hell is it good for the community? People are dying and Iosing their jobs left right and centre. Struggling to buy/find food & medicine, struggling to pay their mortgage so having to take a 3 month payment holiday.  it’s another bill that people can do without at a time like this.

Most of my customers are relatively wealthy, retired, or still in gainful employment.

Christ; since when has going to clean windows been morally wrong?

I clean a Hannover Court property (jam packed with elderly at risk people) and they just don't want us to do the inside areas and to give prior notice.

They still want their windows cleaned though.

ive got 2 large childrens homes to clean on thursday....their both government funded so will be open as they deal with very challenging kids...they  want me to clean as normal....in fact ive got an extra building to clean on there this time.....obviously its outside windows only.....

im so glad i dont take on inside work anymore...plenty of outside work to go at.....

Well to say i was  raging is an understatment some may find this petty but i was up this morning to see a land grounds maintaing company cutting grass  this was praying on my mind  because acarding to govern ment  not esential work to stop  so feck it i took the moral highground  and had a full and Frank talk to the m d.that's how strongly I feel about the situation . So I'm ready for pellets. If our industry is not essentional  Nea   is theirs

Matt Hancock said in parliament today that if people can still go to work, then they should.   In the daily briefing he went onto talk about the 2 meter rule; he says it's being applied in parliament too.  He's only the health secretary.

Sturgeon gave advice and specifically mentioned window cleaners and gardeners being lone workers and able to carry on, saying it was good for the community.

Mine are not.

Make them lone workers for the time being then , bring a few quid in and do your workers a favour at the same time .
