He can't just do whatever he wants at his trust. It's our NHS not his.
Don't be so sensitive.

Err, yes he can.
I am extremely sensitive when it comes to being called a liar. I hate BS in general which is why I keep away from things like twitter and facebook etc and have a general dislike towards all polictians.
I can understand that this may sound like BS. How could a lowly window cleaner be friendly enough with an NHS trust director to receive "privileged" information?
We became friends by pure accident. As I said I done some work for him and at the time I was buff, really fit with big arms. He said he was looking to get into shape and wanted some tips and it just took off from there. We ended up working out together a few times a week and he even had a full gym set up at his house and I started going over there and met his wife and kids. I felt like his personal trainer but I think i was his "escape" from the stresses of his life.
He use to say to me, I kid you not, "it's nice to spend time with someone normal, away from those cretins at work".
We lived in different worlds but I bought him normality and made him feel like "one of the lads".
The workouts stopped eventually, I became too busy with work, kids, new dog that needed long walks and I just couldn't be bothered anymore with keeping fit  We would still exchange messages now and again and as he put it yesterday, "he wants to make sure me and my family are safe". Hence why he was willing to share details with me.

Anyway I don't know why iv just sat here in the van for the last 10mins trying to justify myself to you lot, you can think what like. I'm giving you information from a trusted source and you can take it or leave, up to you.
I'm not saying that you are lying; I'm saying that I think you are wrong.
There's more than one director and he can't just do what he wants at a trust.

Quick fire temporary hiring is currently normal. He offered me the work because he was enquiring about my financial situation and thought I might need help. Also because he said he's going to need the extra measures as a matter of urgency in the coming weeks...
I think that means the normal process no longer applies..

I'm working until full lockdown is enforced.
I expect the chancellor will announce measures for self employed today or tomorrow then full lockdown will come on Thursday or Friday.
This will get worse before it gets better.
I have a friend who is a director at an NHS trust who has told me to stockpile food for several weeks at least and expect to lose someone from my family over the coming weeks/months.
He has even offered me a job, once I'm forced to closed the business, as a security guard at the health centre as he said desperate times are coming and the centre will need the extra security.
His exact words to me last night were, " i have inside info that I shouldn't be sharing with you but things are going to be worse then you think and certainly worse then the government are currently having you believe.
He wouldn't clarify any further over txt but he said I can call him today and will be more specific, as long I don't share the info with anyone.
Will be an interesting call....

Stockpiling.

Selfish.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

You say you are not doing it but I bet you'd do it seeing as you're so friendly with this director "mate" of yours.

Read the full thread you numpty  ::)roll
I only found this out yesterday, it's to late to stockpile so no I haven't stockpiled.
Tell a lie, a bought a 1kg bag of pistachios last weekend from Costco. Man I love pistachios, they will last me weeks.

Fair enough (though I still think there'd be checks).
And you'd be providing a needed service.

I'm out working now, I have to say it is uncomfortable and slightly eerie feeling.
Had an old guy drive past me very slowly whilst shaking his head.
Might pack it in after today...

Stay at home, If you're out today and you clean 20 houses you could easily be seen by a few hundred people in neighbouring properties. What's to say that as a direct result of seeing you they then say "look, that window cleaner is working it's such a nice day why don't we go out". There are clearly plenty of complete twats in this country who seem to think this doesn't effect them.

Your actions can influence other people so just think about that for a moment. The more people out and about the worse this will be.

Iv been offered security or driving work. You know, standing at a door doing my best to look hard, or dropping off and picking up essential supplies. I don't think theres too much close contact with kids. Sorry to disappoint you

My wife is  really high risk.  I think anyone out that's not essential ie out Window Cleaning should have there van pulled to the side of the road and clamped there and then. And have to apply to  have it released after movement ban is lifted with a fine.  And for all you gung ho  hard men out there next time you're out there possible killing someone I think  it's  a  shame  that they could not get there loved ones back and swap for one of yours.

BBC
''The government had already told people that to prevent the spread of coronavirus they should only go out when necessary - for example, to buy food and medicine, or for exercise.
When out, people have been told to keep at least 2m (6ft) apart from other people. This is known as social distancing.
However, since this advice was issued, there have been many examples of people not following it.

At the weekend, parks and open spaces were packed with people. Snowdonia National Park, for example, said it had experienced the "busiest ever visitor day in living memory".

People will just carry on as normal and will find some self justification for their own special circumstances, me included, until the Government threaten and then  enforce a lockdown.

What I hope is that in a few weeks time, that we haven't ended up with similar deaths as in Spain and Italy. Because then we may look back and think why didn't I just stay in?

I guess what we are really saying is that we don't want to stop the spread of the corona virus because not enough people are dying from it.

When it does then we'll stop window cleaning, or whatever else we do.

On the bbc news this morning, they were taking questions and a chap emailed in. He cleans carpets and repairs mobility scooters.  He said he cleans in mostly empty houses when doing carpets and when he is repairing a scooter its outside. Therefore very little contact with people, what should he do.  The specialist they had on was quite clear, " the PM said all should stay home unless a key worker!"

Another question was asked.
"I have a son in hospital terminally ill, can i see him?"
The answer
Unless the hospital makes separate arrangements for you, then sadly at this very difficult time, the advice is to stay away.

Therefore, how does cleaning windows compare to those two examples!
