At what point would you send a blanket message to all your customers if you go into isolation?

Would you bother at all?  If it's a week, I would not worry but if its going to be a longer period of time would you inform them of delayed cleans?

I have decided not to make any contact with our customer base. Why invite any cancellations?

Personally I wouldn't do this at all. If a customer calls to ask where you are then just tell them then. Worse case scenario you might not be out working for a week or two so why burden customers with negative information.

If your currently CV fit and well and I expect most on CIU are I'd suggest the most important thing to do is up production work longer work harder get all your work done and more and get some money in the bank. We are limited to what we can do socially at the moment so may as well be maximizing our efforts into getting all outstanding and work due done asap.

It's not going to a be just a week and everyone will be going into lockdown so I'm sure they will be aware.

But yes if it comes to a point I have to stop I will inform them all and that I expect to resume on x date and obviously if it gets to x date and Im not starting back I will inform them all again about the delay.

Most cases of people who have had CV that I have read about say they are over it in seven to fourteen days max. Currently no bans on going out and doing the isolated type of work a lot of us do if we are sensible we can carry on working picking the best most appropriate of our work.

Not pointing any fingers but a lot of people will be using the terms lock down and self isolate to prevent them from doing the things they hate most in life such as going to work  ;D

The missus is round the back door still smoking and coughing her lungs up just a few feet from our own door and windows.
I'm terrified!

Don't be frightened; they live next door.  NHS staff are working with corvid-19 patients face-to-face.

Just don't go licking their door handles and yer'll be reet.

For most of us it'll just be like getting a cold.

best thing  IMO  is dont contact them at all unless its a text reminder for payment or notification to leave a gate unlocked......

the only exception would be if their is a severe lockdown and we re forced to stop going to work altogether,then i would send them a simple text that says ill be delayed and wish them all the best.

Ive already done a post on my facebook page, mostly because im kinda doing half days or less now that kids are off school, mother in law self isolating due to being quite ill and obviously wife isnt always able to have the kids.
The response as been great, customers texting me saying not to worry and come when I can. Many are saying not to worry as they wont go anywhere else etc etc.   Therefore I dont need to post anything else and I also know that I will loose very little work over this and so Im not worried at all.

My only concern is waiting for my mother in law to pick up and so I can get full days at work and currently phoning suppliers for hypo so i can  get the big paying jobs done in order to fetch large chunks of money in. 👍👍

Despite running behind I will still be taking on big one off jobs from any Tom, Dick or Harry so I can get big chunks of money in, I’m sure you, my loyal customers will understand 😉

Badly wrong as in, the window cleaning rota for this month.   Like Ive said many a times, i schedule my work mostly taking my wifes illness into acount as Im somewhat used to that now. Therefore the additional services which I offer get booked into the beginning or the end of a month.  This works well!  However the future is now unclear with the virus and so its one week at a time isnt it!  So it may well be longer than the 4 or 8 wk rotas which my customers are used to and no doubt it will be the same for many on here as well.  Especially if you get the virus and self isolate for 7 or 14 days if you dont live alone and they catch it.  Or will you throw caution to the wind and ignore ust so you dont fall behind

No, what I mean is at some point it's extremely likely we will be doing what Spain and Italy are doing and locking everyone down except key workers.

It's inevitable, and when we do its almost certain to be longer than a week

To be fair, from what he's said in previous posts it does seem that Nathan has a lot more on his plate than most of us.
Maybe we should crowdfund him the money for a Toby Carvery?
