No I am not a vikan brush man. That was an early photo. I still use the vikan on my mini pole as I love giving the glass a good scrub and the brush is great on snail trails.

Our 18' poles have gaz brushes on which I prefer and one of my 24' poles as a Gaz brush on. I have an 18' and 24' pole with a vikan brush on but that is because of gardiner metal gooseneck. My 38' pole has a lightweight facelift bush on. i have another 18' pole in the garage with a big vikan brush on which I use now and again.

dont worry neil, when my new rotary brush is finaly developed, you can throw all those old brushes away, as my new brush  will do away with all the manuel work, it will make life a lot easier for everyone, i just cant wait until its into production,

Thanks for all your replies and emails guys. I will reply to you each individually asap.

Neil that does sound like one hell of a deal you've got there. Do they have a site anywhere near Swindon or are they just in Derbyshire.

I'd love to be able to go the DIY route but am a complete joke when it comes to anything technical.

Dependant on who i decide to go with. Are all of the fittings of poles, hoses, replacement resin and all the other things that will break with wear and tear universal or will i have to stick with the manufacturer of the machine to get replacement parts.

Regards,
Sunshine

Hi neil100

That looks a good setup. I used Facelift a few times and found them to be a very together company.

Did that price include proper fixings for the tank as that is one thing that worries me as 800ltrs or however many ltr's of water moving forwards in an impact....

Also, how long did it take them to fit the van out?

Cheers

Hi Sunshine.. I agree, Neil100's bit of kit sounds really good and good value. It would be great if they are near Swindon.

Hi Rosskesava,

I left the van with them for a full week. That was because it was the most convienent for me,I drove the van across On a Saturday morning and picked it up the following Saturday. I did it that way for my benefit,I avoided a lot of traffic,I never lost a day at work and it allowed them to fit it a their lesiure, sometimes if you put time constraintes in, it can effect the quality of the job.

The price included proper fittings. They did not use stainless steel bolts through the floor because in their opinion they are not as strong as high tenstile steel bolts. In a collision at speed a stainless steel bolt could just snap.

Their are 6 bolts fitted through the stainless steel frame and through the van floor. Any more bolts then this will just weaken the van floor. There are metal plates which have been fitted underneath the van which the bolts pass through. Two of those bolts go through a special shaped clamp which fits around the chassis rails underneath the van.So the van is as safe as it could possibly be.The van is fantastic to drive fully loaded up so they have done a brill job.

Heres a photo of the clamp under the van.
