what size tank?
« on: March 02, 2020, 05:16:51 pm »
Hi All. I have bought a much bigger pressure washer than I am used to. It's a 30 to 36 lpm lombardini job. Up to now I have got by with a Honda Gx390 and a wheelie bin.
I have a 500 litre tank in my window cleaning van. Is this going to be big enough as a buffer tank if fed by a typical outside tap? I also have a pick up truck so another option would be a trailer with maybe a 650 tank in. If I could get away without the trailer for now, it would be preferable. Cheers for any advice.

The tank itself will be big enough - tis the flow of water into it that counts - we run 2 gx390 machines from one van, so 42 litres a min unless there is really good flow we can empty 1000 litres tank very quickly  - we use FH for larger works

I would say only around 40% of domestic jobs have enough flow to feed these
