UK Scientists are supposedly  to be trialing a vaccine from next week. If they needed volunteers to infect then trial the vaccine on how many of you would offer to be guinea pigs to possibly benefit the rest of the world population??  ;D

Best case scenario, next year for public consumption.

Those who have to self isolate and have cats at home be aware that the virus can and has been passed on to pet cats with some sadly dying at home as the human goes through the different stages of illness in isolation. If it's not a house cat I guess you could just let it out the door and ask neighbors via facebook to put food and water out for it. If it's a house cat then sadly it may not recover while your sick with the virus at home  :'(

Have you got a link for this information? I would’ve thought it’d be all over the news if this has happened  ???

Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Well it's happened...

Customer says please leave it till after the virus has cleared.

Had one ask me to wipe down the gate handle when done.

Had a fair few talking about it, even before the weather chit chat.

Probably an easy excuse to skip.

There will be lots of people cancelling if this really takes hold. If they close schools some people wont be able to work.

We will be the first luxury expense to go if things get tight.

Haha washing hands n scaring people to do so is certainly a step in the right direction but the campaign to save britain from the virus by simply washing your hands is a joke.

The point of handwashing (and other various steps the government might take) is not to "save Britain from the virus" but to slow the rate at which people become infected. If that's done successfully then the NHS won't be overwhelmed by a sudden flood of patients. Instead the infections will be spread over a longer time with a lower peak. That's the aim of the handwashing campaign.

For the people poo-poohing this: you'll lose someone you know to this virus. It'll probably not be you in the grave but with a 3%ish mortality rate you'll certainly know someone who dies from it within the next year or so. If washing hands spreads out the load on the NHS so they can treat people properly and more people survive it, it seems a very small price to pay. It's hardly panicking to take basic hygiene seriously.

At least there's a rational to buying sanitizer, tissues etc. Some of what's going on is plain barking. The makers of corona beer have confirmed they've lost 132 million through this, mostly down to the Chinese not buying but also American and European markets. A survey was carried out of 700+ beer drinkers in the USA and 37%   said "they wouldn't drink it under any circumstances". Its just mental. A real advert for why the general public shouldn't get to vote in referendums.

Not so: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/corona-beer-fear-coronavirus/

Fancied a beer before the gig tonight, Mrs Soupy only likes Corona so I thought I'd get that. Sold out.

Panic buying eh.

Just seen on the news that retailers want help from government to compensate for loss of trade and staff sick pay during the virus.

If that happens I hope they help all self employed people too.
