weird complaint
« on: February 28, 2020, 10:00:34 am »
Had a call yesterday. Six weekly customer three bed semi saying there were loads of bits around the patio frame.
I have been window cleaning for ten years and like most on here, take pride and care in the work. I have had three complaints in all the time I have been going.
So I pop round this am and take a look.  First thing to mention is the house is  a poo tip and you can't see through the patio door glass due to all the boxes and stuff up against the inside glass, so said on the phone call that she walked around, examining the frames. Which is weird in itself
Glass is perfect, side upvc panels of the doors perfect. Lower edge of the doors perfect. Below the frame there were a couple of tiny specs in the "run" which the opening door slides along.
wtf?

Give them the "Are you mental?" talk and then drop them.

She has been a customer for seven years. A nurse. Yes, after payment received- dumped.

Poor nurse, always under appreciated and have a stressful job.  Wonder what may have taken place that day which made her a bit crazed to become critical.
Oh well, dump her for this one time mad moment in 7 yrs and all will be well again in this crazy world.

Nathan. When someone, no matter what their occupation starts to inspect the frames after a clean. It’s time to say goodbye. Especially if there is nothing wrong.

i agree....unless its clear that you ve messed up and not done a good job then i dont care whether shes a nurse or not.....shes dumped for wasting my time calling me back

i had my first call back in ages the other day......large house....front was cleaned in bright sunshine then by the time i got round the back it was rain and hailstone.....i went back the next day and recleaned the back windows.....some of them were not good at all....i told him is was because of the weather(it was)....the fronts were fine.....

its really difficult at the moment with the weather being so changeable.....it can change in the space of 5 mins!

So you tell them it’s fine to work in all weathers and then blame poor quality on bad weather?  She’ll be skipping cleans next time you turn up when it’s raining now Daz and I wouldn’t blame her either.

Don’t know about anyone else but the glass has been filthy after the big storms. Every house is like a first clean, some of the results have been pretty poor. I’ve changed to a flocked brush in the hope that it will shift the film off the glass.
