The ones I did were less than a year old and they’d already run,I told the lady of the house that need to come back to seal the lead.
They all bleed eventually but not in less than a year they normally go over the lead with a sealer to stop this happening in such a short time.

I researched this on a chemistry website and found cilit bang does the job as well as anything.  I did a big victorian conservatory roof with stains from the lead flashing. I used the aerosol foam and and it work perfectly.

I think it says limescale and scum. The foam one is easier to let sit on the stains for a while.

I’d be careful with any product you could end up ruining the lead

Depending how old the lead mark is it won't come off it is a chemical reaction.
Spit and polish

yep that's true I've got jobs with lead stains, I tell the customer about them before I commit to  take them on  I wont even bother faffing about trying to remove them, as I see it your there to remove dirt, bird shyte  not do a full overhaul your making a rod for your own back. the more you do the more they expect the longer it takes less time for other jobs to complete  you don't get better thought of.
