Refining my round
« on: January 14, 2020, 02:22:47 pm »
I’m looking to employ next year 2021 but until then I want to refine my full round with bringing in new work and selling of old
The reasons for this -:
1. I enjoying bringing in new work and testing the different avenues for doing so(keeps the mind stimulated)
2. Good practice for when I do employ and need to grow into 2 rounds.
3. Long existing customers (older in age)are harder to switch over to the new ways I like to run my round now i.e. Gates open + paying online.
4.These days you get good money for selling off good priced and well established work as min is.

Does anyone on hear refine there round in this way and do you find it  worth doing? Any advice would be much appreciated.

3.you will be surprised how many older customers are computer savvy these days, ive had loads that have started paying by BACS now simply by adding bank details  to my printed slips and a little message(BACS preferred method of payment)....

4.why would you sell good priced well established work?it doesnt make sense...keep it all for yourself......
price higher/work harder!

if you have old work thats not the best priced but they pay promptly and are generally good solid customers then put their price up  a quid or two if your not happy...if you would rather bin them because they are really underpriced then chance a bigger rise(give them an ultimatum)...basically explain to them you will have to stop cleaning for them unless you put them up by £xx amount...you ve got nothing to lose and you just might gain a better priced job......

I did this years ago rather than lose nice people I just said to them face to face in some cases they were doubled, inrefined areas so when I go to an area I might have to drive  20 minutes and only do 3 houses but that 3 houses will be over 150,I drive to another area and do the same.
Don’t be afraid to raise them you’ll probably find they had the same thoughts if they are that underpriced,I have a minimum I clean for some might say it’s only a 15-20 quid job on here but I have a minimum I’ll clean for as I have lots of work. I do a bungalow for 30 it takes 10-15 minutes but she’s happy others clean the same houses in her road for 12 quid,if you don’t ask you don’t get if I need to buy stuff for work and the business it’s not gonna be me that pays for it.
