I don’t understand how you can price per bedroom ?
Iv had houses with 3 windows per bedroom I price per window not per room.
And also on the type of window some windows take longer than others.
Then you have access issues etc you could have two same houses but because of access one takes twice as long you have to price According to this.

But saying that most times I just turn up look at it and say whatever comes in it of my mouth at the time

What I do now is give a price based on their description and checking google maps.

If its not clear on Google maps then I give a ballpark price, so I say it would be in the region of £12 to £15 if that sounds like something you would be interested in I can call to confirm.

This way I'm not wasting time going to quote someone who has completely different price expectations.

I do this too but had one last year that had had a new full blown extension on since pictures were taken so ended up going out to quote anyway!

Out of Curiosity how much do you guys charge and what area are you from to compare the difference ?

Do any of you use a different pricing structure to  mine ?

I price the houses using a menu, and recently I've started using google streetview to help with the pricing, which works well some of the time.

I've started doing almost all the first cleans myself, so if I get to the property and I need to change the price I call the customer and explain why we need to adjust the price.

If I can't get hold of them then I leave a message on their answerphone AND leave them templated letter that reads something like this:

"I’m writing to let you know that we need to adjust the price for the window cleaning service on your home.

This is because:

□   Your home is very large or has an unusual design
□   Your home is a period property with a large number of large windows

The price for your first clean is £.….. and the price for work going forward is £..…. Every …… weeks"

Very rarely does a customer object when we increase the price on a first clean.
