I'm starting to think about my next van. Does anybody on here have one of the above systems ?  I've always diy'd but to be honest getting sick of all the faff and these look tidy and compact. I'm considering the 425 ltr, delivery only and no Di but may go for the powered reel option.  Van  I've narrowed my choices down to is the Berlingo.

Yeah sorry didn't really explain that very well. Their site doesn't really show or explain its fitting. Was interested if there were any users on here. How they had it fitted and what they thought to the proloc powered reels. Price wise they come in a lot cheaper than grippa and with battery, pump, controller etc. all included. What vans they might have and possibly some pics of theirs set up.

ive got a similar set up from water works, really similar just slightly bigger, ive had two of them (one van got stolen)  ive used the systems from 3 years now, there is not a day that I regret buying it, it looks great, it works (all the time) and the one your looking at is cheep to, im going to get a small one like that for my smaller van I think they are really nice

the reels are amazing, never had a problem at all, you will love them
ive fitted mine myself just with spreader plates and heavy duty ratchet straps in a vivaro (new shape) and a dispatch (new shape) but you could have it fitted if you like, they use metal brackets around the bottom of the tank (well they do on mine)

Thanks for replies. I'm still unsure as to whether to splash the cash on the compact system . After all as captain obvious ( aka gomo  ) already said its a tank with a pump and a controller - just looks nicer. The compact and everything incorporated within the design is appealing though. I could use the parts I have and diy something similar but would take time and more expense to make as neat.
 Although I am interested in the reel. Excuse my ignorance but do you just run it off same battery as pump ? and if so I presume a bigger battery is better ? I read a few reviews that mentioned keeping an eye on reeling in, hose can jump the spool if not vigilant. Anybody modified a guide to prevent this and can the speed on which they reel in be controlled ? I often work on busy streets and I'm concerned for free range idiots ( pedestrians )

The reel is a power-up hd. The systems come with a battery installed within the moulding on the tank, so maybe limited if you wanted to upgrade to a larger one. But the reels aren’t very power hungry in my experience.
The hose doesn’t pull very hard, if somebody stepped on it they stop. No more dangerous than a hand reel.

Yeh, I just think systems like this are a waste of money.

It's like buying a trolley for £600 that's just a controller and a pump on a pair of sack wheels.

I mean you could buy a pump, controller, battery and tank for about £500 yet this thing is probably what £1500?

But it does look nice so if you like the look of it and want it buy it!

Theres not much to say about it really though, you could sling it in with some straps or bolt or and use a manual or electric reel.

If it could be secured with ratchet straps it may be something I'd be interested in.  Alternatively  I could add the parts I already have to the frame of a small  (400 L ) skid tank / bowser.  The benefits of this for me are a compact all in one unit that can be easily removed from  a vehicle or swapped in to another with minimum downtime. Although I've been quite lucky with second hand vans  ( on my 3rd in seventeen years ) circumstance and budget dictates me buying 2-3 k vans.  Like gomo says £1500 with a power reel maybe  on the steep side vs  diy but it's convenience maybe worth it in long run.
