Had one today.

So, I got a telephone enquiry yesterday about a gutter clean.

I went along today to have a look. An old biddy, living in a bungalow that you wouldn't know was there it was so well hidden behind overgrown trees and between two big detached 4 bedders.

Anyway, initially, she wanted a quote for the gutters to be cleaned out and then she mentioned in passing that one of the joints was leaking and could I possibly have a look at it if I was going to go ahead with the work. So, I glanced once more at the guttering and suggested I could look at it, but bearing in mind the age of the gutters there wouldn't be any guarantee about how effective any repair would be but I could look at it all the same.

She looked at me and said 'Well, the gutters aren't THAT old'.

So, I asked her if she knew when they'd been put up.

Her reply was 'My husband and I put them up in 1963.......'

And when you give her the price she will say it cost less than that to buy the guttering way back in 1963. You gotta love em  ;D
