its my girlfriends house.......im gonna clean it in the spring time......so will a bottle of bleach and water in a bucket do it?apply with a brush and leave for 20 mins then hot wfp it off?
why don't you do a test patch ?.... It won't take you much longer than taking a photo and posting it on here. You could just try a small area with household bleach as Nathan suggests or anything you have to hand. I think it was Chris Turner who's posted in past about getting good results from nothing more than bio washing powder.

it wasnt chris turner who recommended bio washing powder it was marc stock(cleaniac) and that was cleaning plastics NOT concrete or brick walls........i will do a test patch though but it wont be for a few months yet........ :)

If its just cleaning the algae off, then as said all you need to do is wet it and then spray on the shop bought bleach as mentioned.
Looking at the pic, the run off will go on pebbles and im taking it, that the decking is not flush against the wall, so shouldnt fall on the decking.

However, if your doing a spring clean of the decking and slabs as well, then invest in hypo. So jet the slabs first and then apply at 5% to the slabs .  The decking, im taking it your using an electric pressure washer, so use a 45degreee / 25 tip  to strip the decking from a height.  Leave to dry and then treat / paint.

Couldnt find a before pic, but i treated the fence and the posts with bleach as mentioned and stripped the decking.  Then treated afterwards.

Hypo is cheap to buy easy enough to source and use and from those photos do a decent job of cleaning. As its your girlfriends place why not have a play around with using hypo and perhaps it could then even become a good lucrative add on to your cleaning services.

im not planning on adding softwashing to my list of add on jobs...i hate the smell of bleach and tbh id rather stick to regular window cleaning without the use of any chemicals.....

is hypo just sodium hypochlorite anyway?(bleach)...id rather use as little as possible to get the desired result.....

Here's an alternative method. Go to your nearest decorating centre and get some ICI (or Weathershield) mould and mildew cleaner. Apply with a roller and a small sprayer for the fidly bits. Give it about 2 to 3 weeks to work and then spray on a god biocide to help keep it clean (I use Algex from Restormate). Give it a second application of Algex in about a month and each spring after that.
It will keep things looking tip top for years to come.

It really depends on how much you want to spend and do.  At the end of the day, if your wanting to blast everything with a pressure washer, you cn remove the fence panels and just clean the concrete with it. It will come straight off!
If its an electric one, you aint going to shift the lichens from the slabs and thats where the hypo or bio comes in!
If hypo for a one of job, you can get a cheap mask from screwfix and also add a scent to your mix which will mask the bleach smell.
Or jet wash n apply the bio and wait for the results, the choice is yours.

Daz, these make great add ons to your services and provide a needed break from the boredom of cleaning glass every day, even if it is just once in a blue moon. Its well worth adding

Let him do this job for his other half. In 6 months he’ll be saying pressure washing is the best thing since ladders were invented.

I've tried pressure washing before and it DOES NOT remove the green algae from the brick wall, however it's great on decking....

I dont need a break from window cleaning mate......nice,easy,short regular window cleaning is all I want to do these days.....with the odd conny roof or fascia clean, solar panel job thrown in here and there.....👍

If it were me I would:
Find your local swimming pool supplier or farm shop and buy some Sodium Hypochlorite - 10L is about £12
Screwfix do a pressure sprayer 5L for £8.99
Rubber Gloves are a must and wear old clothes.

Mix 1 part Hypo to 4 parts water.
Do a test patch: spray a bit on the wall and leave it for 20 mins.
You'll soon see the results. Just rinse it off with a garden hose.

Personally, I would hypo the wall, concrete posts and gravel boards. The fence looks ok and the decking I would give a light pressure wash.

You'll also notice how it affects the block paving so I think you'll end up doing that too.

Massive brownie points  ;D

There is something strangely satisfying about softwashing....
