I tell you I would have paid a lot more for one if I’d had known it was going to get rid of the lower back ache and shoulder gripe it was giving me reeling in manually within a matter of days, you can’t put a price on making your working day easier on your body.
If something new that is going to make the working day easier in my book has to be worth paying for,to many moaners harping on about back and shoulder problems purely because they won’t spend a few quid. I bet half of em spend 200 quid a week on fAgs and beer.
Yes mate, they are amazing, hence why many of us made a DIY one for £50, essential bit of kit!
The issue is the price, it’s way overpriced purely because there is hardly any competition.
I also only use extreme poles, and extreme brushes, so I’m fully on board when it comes to the lightest equipment, the most efficient, and the most helpful work gear.
The problem is when you know you can have the same for £50, in this case a DIY electric reel. My only reason for wanting the pure freedom is for the swivel base, and of course I’m sure its very nice to use. I just need to either bite the bullet, or create my own swivel base. One will cost £700 odd, one will cost around £50. So when your running a house, paying bills, about to take your M140i to be stage 1 mapped etc, that £700 is harder to part with... unless your Daz, who lives in a skip, and pays £5.80 a month in rent and bills 😁
Would just be nice if there was more competition so the prices dropped a bit. I think it’s just something we have to except, but the DIY route for reels is a great option.
So to answer the OP’s original question, I’d like to see more innovations from other companies, to create more competition and choice, driving prices down a bit, benefiting all of us 👍🏼
