Vivaro back door won't unlock

Anybody got any tricks for unlocking a vivaro back door. All the other doors open but not the back door. If I pull the lever inside it will open top and bottom but the deadlock still seems to be engaged in the middle. This happened once before a few weeks ago and after being left for an hour or so it opened as if nothing had happened. Can't find anything on Google, I guess it's to keep info out of thieves hands.

Wow.  This happened to me too.  Exactly the same. But mine is a trafic.

Had to get the lock mechanism replaced to fix as it's happend a few times.   Its a common issue with the new shape ones failing in cold conditions.    I had to use key to open.

I've noticed it last happened when it was cold. Key won't open it though.

I've noticed it last happened when it was cold. Key won't open it though.

Funny.  My key got jammed halfway in too but it's it was another issue. Fixed with a squirt of wd40.

The key opened the back for me  manually when I got stuck.

The fault for me and others is the mechanism that's triggered from the key fob or cab button

Yeah, I will. Its working now, alot of locking/unlocking cycles, thumping, punching and kicking the door and swearing. I'm not sure which one worked. Sprayed the life out of it with WD40 and its locking and unlocking ok now. Have ordered the locking mechanism so will try and get it changed one evening this week.

Is it something I could do myself? Don't want to drop the van off for an afternoon when I could do it myself in an evening.

Why not steam it open? Like an envelope.
You just need a hot pressure washer mate.
