I never disconnect, I use slx 25 on everything.

1x brass reducer with 2 x o clips for hose reel to pole hose . I put gorilla tape around this connection so it doesn’t catch on corners .

1 x straight push fit connector for IF I need to take the pole off

1 x univalve

Total cost including univalve around £40. So far no connections have been changed since July .
After each job, reel all hose onto hose reel and hand pole up. No need to disconnect
I do exactly the same but use polymorph plastic over the brass reducer got the polymorph  idea off someone on here.

Well that certainly beats my gorilla tape! Very good idea 💡

Got it sorted spent about £150 for 3 unvalves. Connected all with the blue hose saves alot of water and no more problems with connections.
I got exceed ones.
Looking forward to trying them out but it looks solid. Really clever little contraption.
Just a thought but I think this is how you do tubeless isn't it. In which case the power will be permanently connected to the hose.

I've been found out!
So not totally unbiased advice.. but still good advice hopefully to go tubeless to protect the coupler. Combined with Univalve it's great as there's no connector or tap to break and get stuck on corners.
