Additives all day every day for me.

Have done since 2012.

Interesting. But what do you use Jonny?

Basically vision.

I used to be involved in the company (haven’t been for a good few years now) and helped set it up, so now I use a version that is custom to my needs and works best with hot water.

Jonny needs both hot water and a snake oil to get the same results that I can get with cold which is quick cleaning and no complaints from customers, that said as he hasn't started to use parts per billion water yet then he's far from the worse when it comes to faffing.
Some people can ride a bike without stabilisers and some cant, its as simple as that.
You will never get as good a result with cold over hot you know that,I’ve done jobs this week that would have never come up anywhere near as good with cold. Spiders webs all over the frames etc the Vision does shift bird poo and does dry  off quicker
on the glass.

there you go, you have to spoil yourself and talk total b@ll@cks yet again.....

my daughter works for me … there are times when she is rinsing and rinsing and im like …. what on earth is she doing ?
since we use added sparkle she has more confidence .

Off course we understand, when I first stated out Id waste loads of time and water on a property because I didn't have enough confidence in the method, l suspect if snake oils had been about back then I would have fallen for them as well.

Yep.

You’ve kept your arguing away from The cleaning section and you’ve just been arguing about politics in the “non cleaning related section”.

Nonsense, the mad section is where some members go for a bit of banter, its just harmless wibble, the only reason Iv posted less on the cleaning section is because its been quiet and mostly sensible, there are two things that will never change on here Jonny, when a snake oil post starts you will plug it (even though I suspect you no longer use it which is why you have turned to hot) and I will explain why you're talking rubbish.

I think it’s good to experiment with these kind of things though. Regardless of the flack that sometimes comes with trying different methods. After all, we use a system , wfp, that probably took some time and effort to get credibility at the start. But it was refined over time and works well , so we don’t need to pop up and down the ladders every day.  We work safer.
I mean, when doctors started treating patients with poison to treat cancer (leukaemia) for the first time, they thought they were bonkers. It didn’t work at the beginning, but over time, with knowledge, it became more targeted and refined. Now it’s a leading way of treating cancer successfully in some cases.
On our more mundane topic of window cleaning, maybe additives will be found that will make our cleaning more thorough on upvc full of fly crap for example.
But these advances come built on products that started off that process of thinking.
Just saying!! ;D

Wow, I didn't realise it coated the tank to such an extent!!
I've got a bigger tank since using  Vision so haven't had that problem.
Do you mean to say that Vision has made your tank expand?

He means it’s not a problem as the tank he has now is bigger, probably meaning it seems to have dissolved it more.
Mine hasn’t though it’s clung to the sides and everything it touched,I still get bubbles like the brush has had a weak fairy liquid on it,it does this when the water level drops in the tank.

Mix a small amount of it in a glass of pure and throw it onto a window, the reason why it doesn't do the same when added to your tank water is it never gets to the glass, using such small amounts would mean it could take a fair bit of time before would notice a build up of gunk on your tanks pumps and so on.

Lol god loves a trier as they say,yes it does get to the window if it didn’t get to the window it wouldn’t produce bubbles.
It won’t work so well if you use cold water and live in a caravan,it only sticks to everything if you’ve got a top of the range 9 kw heater.

You talk as if there where no cleaning products before these snake oils came onto the market, there's a reason why when somebody comes on here in need of advice for a genuinely hard clean they never even come close to being recommended, there are real products out there to help with all sorts of cleaning problems which do work and get recommended by people with experience.
When I started out there where people who said cleaning windows with water on its own wouldn't work, seeing a clean window soon shut them up, since then we have had people like Alex Gardiner bringing out lighter poles and brushes which have made the job easier and quicker but there's yet to be a genuine product that can make a window cleaner than clean because its not needed.
