I haven't had it for 3 years. However, I was getting quotes yesterday funny enough because I'm adding more services to my business ( which increases the risk of accidents etc).

I was quoted roughly £160 a year for a £5 million cover.

From A plan.

It seems stupid not having it really.

Might have to look into this simply business. are you covered for working up a ladder up to 10 meters?

That’s what roughly I pay for 5million cover,we had to up it for a particular commercial job we do,domestic window cleaning you’d only pay the basic I think that was about 30-40 quid cheaper.

Maybe - if you fell off your ladder and squashed a custard

Depends what cover you want all public liability covers the public as in if they trip up over hose or bucket etc or the ladder drops on them , make sure it covers for damage to the property your working on, it sounds like it obviously should but it doesnt like if you break a window which if that happened your probs better giving the customer Their £50 excess and let them claim off their home insurance if they have it ! If you work with ladders and the ladder blows over and drops on a car that could be costly so make sure your covered  if you have staff you can add on employees liability if needed for extra cost,  I went with gladiator insurance who use A X A don't go with the cheapest mate get the cover your happy with because if you ever need to claim you want to make sure your covered for what your claiming for we all know if insurance can get out of paying they will! Ring around a few brokers  think I payed £306 which covers two employees I think it was around £230 for just me , good luck

Cheers lads. As said I'm a one man band and quotes everywhere from €600to €800 for the year for basic PLI package thinks it's 5 million cover. Insurance prices  in Ireland are  ridiculous though . Previously been paying 350/400 per yr
