i dont mean to be thick, but all i know about w'c is the normal ladder and bucket type, as ive mentioned in another post there arent too many wc's around here where i live(that i see anyway).
i believe wfp stands for water fed poles, correct? ive noticed the odd one or two ppl using something like that in my nearest town (horsham) to clean high up office windows etc.

so water is pumped up to a squeegie at the end? is the water mixed with cleaning solution and how do you know youve done a good job being that your all the way down the bottom..obviously you cant scrim round the edges too so do you just do the best sort of job you can and they are happy with that?

Ok in a nutshell:

To use WFP you must use pure water.. that is.. water with ALL of the solid particles removed. Water itself DOES NOT stain when it dries out..  its the particles that are in the water that are left and make the stain.

So.. you take pure water out with you.. either in a big tank or containers in the case of trolley systems. This is then pumped up a small pipe either in or out of the pole.. inside is best.. up to the brush.. it then comes out of jets.. onto the window.. you use the brush to agitate the dirt .. with the water flowing.. now.. pure water WANTS to return to an impure state so it is VERY good at getting dirt off the surface..  you then MUST rinse the surface down .. usually by just pulling the brush slightly away from the window..  BINGO.. dirt gone.. and nothing but pure water left.. you leave this to dry out naturally.  Jobs a good un!!!  

The above is the THEORY... of course it takes practice and a bit of knowledge to get it right.

thanks andrew..again.sorry to be thick but i had to ask..its actually bloody interesting, i didnt realise there was so much science involved..i love science so pure water really is that good then!! so do the windows come out as clean as they would if they were like..first floor?

I am going to give you MY experience...  I speak for no-one else. Also as a supplier of WFP equipment I would be expected to say that its the dogs b*ll*x.

In the vast majority of cases.. if used properly WFP will.. after the first couple of cleans leave a better finish than trad. The main reason for this is that by using pure water only to clean you leave no residue on the surface for dust etc to stick to. There is a definate "sheen" to a window.. and that includes the frames that has been cleaned a few times CORRECTLY with WFP.

We use it on mainly domestic work.. a real mixture of it.. from small terraced places up to very large in own grounds etc. We still use trad and I cant ever see us not using it but all in all by changing to WFP our results are better and.. we are around 50% more productive.

Now.. over to the rest of the opinions and experiences.
