The garage is now clear and I’m ready to buy a complete static system. I’ve priced one up on GrippaTanks website at £3.5k with the s3 controller that does auto flush etc and like the idea of that so less involvement needed from me it also includes booster pump and water softener. Just wondered what systems you all use or recommend? It only has to produce water for one van so about 500 litres of pure water a day. Cheers

Just buy a 4040 a do vessel and purify water surly about £600 will do you ?

I have the Pure Freedom 4040 built onto a trolly style with booster pump,fills my 400 liter tank in van within an hour.
Cost me about £1800 .00 if I remember correctly,great bit of kit.

I got a pure freedom r.o system which was framed onto a 1000 litre ibc tank, think it was about £1200, that didn’t include a booster pump as I removed one from my previous  purefreedom van mount.

You can get all the bits and diy for a fraction of the Gripp quote. IBC, 40/40 and bottle of resin, a few connectors and hose plus submersible pump. Don't be frightened of doing this yourself. It really is a simple job.
I bought an ibc and the delivery hose with petrol pump type handle plus the submersible pump for £325 {all new and delivered}.

I got a static 4040, with pre filters, DI vessel  and inline TDS from Pure freedom for a little over £1000. I know I could have done it cheaper myself but needed it basically next day due to a spike in my TDS.

£3.5k for that is way overpriced and I think they’ve probably given you a price for full system with pump/tank etc.

Yeah that was for 1000 litre storage tank, booster pump, transfer hose and pump with trigger nozzle, s3 controller, s300 static ro system, and a 13litre water softener. I done the quote from there website.

Hello Wayne i have a 40/40. Boosted system.   From pure freedom.  I have a 500. Ltre tank in van. The system is in the garage. I use 400 ltre per day.  Probably less.   I only  flush   once per month. For 10 to 15. Min.  It has a 5 ltre di on it. I change the di. Every 2 and a half months.  Maybe more.   Ppm is 370.   I disconnected the di and run it for 5 min. Get it down to. 5 to 10. No pump.  Then connect the di and switch pump on simple and easy.  Cheaper too.    3. Grand for a system  one man army
Save your money. Do what slash. Said.   Talk to pure  freedom.

I bought a 2000litre water storage tank for storing water to transfer into tank. Reason I bought a large storage tank was because  where I live we use to be constantly without water as the big heavy trucks were constantly damaging the next road along to us and leaving us without water for a day or two whilst the road would be dug up to repair the water pipes. gave me peace of mind knowing I could go a week tops without relying on having to water company to supply water.

Check your tap pressure. Also.  Low pressure.  Means. More expensive. Membrane.  Ie.  Hf5. Witch covers both low  and high
Hf4 is good pressure. So cheaper.

All you need do is research ibc tanks local to you. I purchased a black ibc tank for £40. I wanted black as it was going to be stored outside and so the sun will not negatively affect it.
I currently use a 450 gpd  ro unit with a small 100 psi booster pump from china and it takes roughly 24 hrs to fill the 1000ltr ibc from empty, so i dont let it drain before im refilling.
Then its a submersible pump inside to transfer to the van tank.

I use a sedimemt filter first followed by a fibredyen and then booster pump into the membranes which i replace roughly every 2 yrs or so (membranes)
Yet i back flush every time for five mins before I fill the tank up, to help relong the life of the membranes.

I bought a Facelift version for £1596 (inc VAT) installed on site

I had a quote off Grippa at the time but they were more than double that and it was massively over spec for what i needed.

the Facelift one works a treat and produces pure water for my 2 vans every day easily. Our local facelift supplier (Mike @ Window Cleaning Warehouse Liverpool) is great too and his team really know what they are doing
