To be honest I don't like the signage it's just a bit boy racer looking, which might be the problem here!
Where you trying to do bounce the van up and down?
To be honest that is one of the most stupid and below the belt comments av read on here for a long time and all it does is show your ignorance! You are entitled to your opinion on the signage ( which is simply my name and nature of business, done in the same colour to match the decals which come standard on this van ) but to then ( in broken English ) imply that my driving could be the cause of a faulty injector, oh dear   ;D ;D :-*

Should have got a German van lol.

Like an overpriced Volkswagen?

They may be overpriced to begin with but they hold their value better than any other van out there so who loses more in the long run? Longest van I've ever has is a VW transporter, and still worth a good resale price, can't complain

There was two things on my mind at the time, one being what Arnold Clarks would come out with and the other being the typical window cleaning forum reply. However the spelling mistake was not part of the wind up, I'd just had a couple of Baltikas.

KS , I would still think you have a case for like for like van. Replacing yours with another but without a way to work, no system in the van ,sucks. It’s like replacing a broken down , under warranty fire engine, wth a box van.
I hope you get it sorted mate. I feel your pain.

And what's going to help ???
Seriously how is a forum going to help with the faulty injectors that plagues some transits.

Buy a cheap old banger, stick a tank in and sell it after you finish using it

It might be helpful to other transit owners or those considering buying one.

It's been problem for over 2.5 years that I know of. They first blamed it on vehicles that had been sitting for a while like camper conversions and so on before it was said it was a bad batch of injectors. More than two years later it's still a bad batch of injectors? Note my two year old custom was just in for a recall for some diesel/oil mix sensor reprogramming if anyone has one.

Who loses out in the long run?

Okay lets say a VW buyer pays £25K for a brand new Transporter and someone else goes and pays £17K for A.N. Other van.

In ten years lets say the Transporter is worth 10K and A. N. Other is worth 5K.

VW owner loses 15K
A.N. Other loses  12K

It's a game of three halves!

No sensible person with any common sense is going to buy a brand new vehicle for themself considering all vehicles regardless of make and model lose the biggest depreciation in the first 36 months, that's just plain ridiculous. Buy a secondhand vehicle with lowest milage but value and good servicing you can find and then compare a vw transporter to say a vivaro and I bet the owner of the VW loses the least in depreciation after say 5 years of use

Now you're wriggling WW.   The thread started with the purchase and breakdown of a brand new van.

But I'll play - let's say your 5 year old VW costs you £12K and my 5 year old "Other" costs  £6K.

By the time we get to year 10 your VW is worth £8K and my "Other" is worth £3K.

You lose £4K, I lose £3K.  ;D

... ... ... ... ... ...

Also you said ...

"No sensible person with any common sense is going to buy a brand new vehicle for themself considering all vehicles regardless of make and model lose the biggest depreciation in the first 36 months, that's just plain ridiculous."

However - had this happened to KS with a secondhand van - and the previous one, then would he have got a replacement van and/or the problem fixed for free or would he be in for a four figure repair bill?
It's a game of three halves!

this  is just stupid ignorance, I buy brand new everytime, just taken delivery of a brand new van which comes with 5 years warranty, servicing and breakdown cover,
To save on depreciation, it costs you much more elsewhere

Got my van back this evening, all 4 injectors were replaced. Given that the injectors were on back order I’m quite pleased that it was fixed relatively quickly. Thanks to all for the comments and good wishes.
To the individual who thought after seeing the van on a recovery truck,  it was appropriate to slag off the sign writing, followed up by a sentence that a code breaker would have difficulty with....let’s hope you have trouble free motoring with your van, I wouldn’t like to see you crying into your alphabet spaghetti!
