Sorry to see this but it can happen and does happen with new vehicles. It why they give a warranty.

How do you know if its an injector issue if you don't mind me asking? Did the recovery guys identify this as the fault?

In my motor trade days the recovery guys were some of the best fault finders you could find around. 99% of the time their roadside diagnostics were correct. In fact, they were much better than the majority of mechanics in the actual workshop. The first thing the mechanics looked at was the AA/RAC/Green Flags breakdown report.

Is this the van that came with iffy paint and was thrown back for a replacement ?
If so I’m sorry too as you have had enough grief already!
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Nice looking van, such a shame.
Hope it's back on the road soon.

Yes the AA report has identified injector 1 is the issue. Just been up to the garage that it was taken to so I could get my equipment out, I’ve been told if the injectors are a certain batch number all four will be replaced, if it’s outside that certain batch number it will only be the faulty one replaced, should find out Monday afternoon.

No the van with the iffy paint job was chrome blue and was returned for a full refund.

It is all very well having a warranty on a new vehicle, but unless you are able to easily transfer your system to new van you will still be forced to take time of work.

If you have e.g. a Grippa system you are not going to remove it, drill holes and install it in a courtesy van.

Easy work around.  Just use a courtesy van.  Just use drums and a back pack.   Not the best way to work but at least you can carry on for a couple of weeks.

Correct...I’m kind of fortunate in that I work from a fitted 500 litre tank with 1 1/2” outlet from which I use a backpack. I’ll need to work from 25 litre containers which is a real pain, until I get my van back.
As you say those who work with a fitted system and hose reel wouldn’t be so fortunate, as working with a backpack and containers would be more of a challenge for them.

That's bad luck!......you don't expect a new van to breakdown.hope u get it back soon.....

It's an easy workaround.backpack on a trolley with barrels in your courtesy van.no need to have time off work.this set up has got me out of a tight spot for a full 5 weeks when I seized my engine on my 12 year old connect(oil pump failed) a few years ago......not ideal but itll keep you working.......
price higher/work harder!

Sorry to hear that KS. I hope they get it sorted out for you pronto.
If it’s under warrenty, could you hire a GrippaTank replacement van and bill them for the inconvenience ?

No, I think they must have a contract with Thrifty. Hire van was delivered to my door 2 hours after contacting Ford, it came from Dundee 30 miles away despite there being 4 different van rental companies within 2 miles of me, so from that I would presume they have a tie in with Thrifty.

To be honest I don't like the signage it's just a bit boy racer looking, which might be the problem here!
Where you trying to do bounce the van up and down?

Sorry to hear that mate.

Hope it’s sorted soon for you, mines the euro 5 engine, and has been running sweet for years.

Hopefully they will sort it out and you’ll have a reliable van going forward!

It looks the part. I do like the sport trim.

Demand a like for like van with system installed. My bro did this recently with Ford (van in for damage repair) and he had a brand new Transit Custom with brand new Ionics Thermapure system delivered the next day. He’s had it for 2 weeks now.

"Demand" fook I couldn't get a van with a roof rack!
Arsehole lawyer can't even forward my loss of earnings and it's just a week short of a year ::)roll
Sent them tax returns and aworka sht and then they say ooh have you got a diary to prove it! Wtf!!!!!
I don't know, I checked my wife's Kuga during the week before they returned it from non fault accident damage (parked) only to find they damaged near and off side front bumper PLUS the fookin bonnet. Dikhead says ooh it's the light, if you turn it the other way I think you'll find other scratches ::)roll
Naw pal your guys have damaged it, as he picks his finger and rubs the off side black trim, ooh it's away now :o
Look pal I've taken photos.... Replaced the trim, sprayed the bumper but left the bonnet!
Their now getting a double complaint in as they lied about the van repair to palm me off. (Arnold Clarks)
