Liking the new brushes
« on: October 25, 2019, 11:35:25 am »
Recieved my two new brushes in double quick time as always from gardiner this morning, had a quick play and supreme looks interesting with the new white inner bristles but I’m more intrigued by the xtreme sill soft flocked brush, I’ve always preferred the feel of a soft flocked over medium and hard and I have to say this feels pretty good, looking forward to abusing it!!
Is the widget for the new jets the free gift you get from gardiner now too as I didn’t get a pen like normal lol, not fussed as I’ve got too many anyway but looks like I’m gonna have loads of widgets hanging about😂

The xtreme sill works well with 45 degree carbon gooseneck.

When I bought the 'new' extreme the other new Extremes came out the week later! So peed me off a bit as I had no idea that there was other brushes on the way. Gardiner's usually have their new stuff listed in the 'new section' before it comes out as well.

I like the look of the new ultimate.

I think the flocked with Tapertec could be a winner too but what are the supremes like on lead when they splay so much? can imagine them getting snagged on the lead a lot.

Xtreme soft is hard to beat, problem is you will be lucky to get a month out of it.

I think windows over conny roofs etc would be less suited to 55 degree version.

What on Earth is that?

Looks like a micro fibre covered toilet tube!

Looks interesting, what’s its selling point?

The new ultimate is on order now, it's hard to keep up with Gardiners, I'll go bankrupt!

It's a good job I have plenty of other brushes to sell to make up for it, even the new Tapertec is now relegated to the "for sale" section. They fetch a good price on eBay if they're not hammered daily.

Yes mate, I liked the old version of the ultimate Dupont but it went flat quick. I ordered the new one as the Tapertec bristles are sturdier and will help to stop the brush flattening so quickly.

I do like the new Tapertec bristles, I bought 2 of the new extremes but the wife doesn't "like the look of it" so It's on eBay as new.

I buy so many brushes that I have to sell off the old stock so I don't get overrun, I keep the ones I really like and anything I'm not sure about goes on eBay in bundles. That way the brushes don't really cost me that much so I can swap n change as much as I like.

I love the new flocked extreme, it does get heavy when wet-though but still, a big weight saving with excellent scrubbing power so its a winner for me, keeping that one.

I use mostly the Extreme 14", I've got 1 with a rinse bar and added boars hair, 1 with 4x1.8mm jets which very good and another 1 with 4 black jets but they'll be replaced before long.

I use the 10" hybrid extreme for work that needs more attention and the Tapertec/stiff for bashing stuff out as they glide quickly.

I break out the tucker dual trim now and again but it feels heavy after a few houses.

I think the new ultimate will be a nice in-between weight for regular bashing out regular usage, I also love to get a new brush as it spices my day up a bit.

I do like the look of the new flocked supreme brush with Tapertec bristles in the middle but I'm not too keen on a brush that splays a lot so maybe not...

I have been using the new DuPont brush for the past week or so,it cleans well but it’s not what I would  call a light brush.
It’s only a fraction lighter than other brushes they’ve done just different bristles,I would like to see all these sized brushes the same in smaller form.
