Van insurance for multiple staff
« on: October 06, 2019, 09:38:38 am »
I'm just wondering if there's a less expensive way of insuring the vans now.

i have 2 vans, 2 FT staff and 2 PT, and myself of course.

at the moment I'm with A plan and just keep adding them as additional drivers

I suppose that depends on their definition of 'only'.

I have mine insured with Gladiator who cover the tank and provide off road cover too.
Could be that they use the same company.

I use a local broker, any driver, any vehicle. It's not cheap but individual policies wouldn't really be workable.

My insurer is AXA, they've paid out more than once, including a total write off. The word "modified" has never been mentioned.

I use the brokers Alexander Swan. Switched from named drivers to any driver and it was cheaper!

Any driver over 25 with a licence for over 1-year.
And clean.

You can name them as well and it could be a bit cheaper. Insuring the vans individually probably be a bit cheaper than fleet insurance currently.

Alexander Swan are helpful and they may wave the £15 admin fee if you need to change drivers if you went down the named route that is.
I would give them a call definitely as well
