Anyone pay their employees minimum wage?

Not exactly a skilled job is it. Easiest work I've ever done.

I don’t employ but I suppose it depends if you want workers who don’t give a crap or possibly better hard working employees who take abit more pride in they’re work being paid abit more, as you say its not skilled work and there’s plenty of money to be earnt so why not pay them a decent wage!

When I employed I paid well and gave Brucies.... and I still ended up with monkeys.
It always went pear shaped the moment I let them loose in their own van !
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

You need respect both ways. Paying minimum wage won’t encourage this.

Can only pay what you can afford or be happy with profit wise.

I paid minimum in the past, with a bonus for all work completed.

Its ok saying pay £12 an hour but if it leaves you with naff all profit whats the point.

Suppose it depends on where you are in the country as well.

pay as little as you can get away with.....we all have to start somewhere.....ive done all sorts of rubbish jobs for crap money in the past...so should they... ;D

min wage then a bonus at the end of the month if no complaints and all scheduled work completed.....
price higher/work harder!

No complaints? From who exactly? Every week I'm saying cobwebs, cobwebs...... Fookin cobwebs!
I'm wanting standards set higher than your average Joe (for this next of the woods) so my eye for detail will be different.

Minimum wage: No

Skilled Job: Not exactly but it does require a desire to achieve certain standards, respect your gear, treat customers well, etc, etc.

Easy Work: Certainly is, couple that with a great respectful boss = happy, loyal hard woking employee (hopefully LOL!)

My approach is: Recruit on Personality, Look after the Good, Get rid of the Bad - Pay what I can afford (not get way with)
