water production slowed
« on: September 08, 2019, 12:24:12 am »
Had a 150 gpd ro about 6 weeks. Been producing enough water for me. Last couple of days its slowed right down. Any ideas.  Might be coincidence but was a mains leak in the street and water board been out to fix it.  Thanks in advance.

When a leak happens they usually have to flush after repair , maybe it has stuffed the pre filters ?
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Thanks for reply but would blocked pre filters reduce the flow?

Production always slows down in the winter, colder water is thicker

Pre filters need changing from time to time as they slowly clog up anyway.
Have you a psi gauge in flow?

As long as you have pre filters then there's no chance you have blocked the membrane, its not cold enough yet for the weather to be the problem so its either the tap water pressure has dropped or your pre filters need changed.

many thanks for the replys. Looks like it was the pre filters as suggested. Had my old 300 ro connected that back up and every thing fine. Got new filters coming Tuesday.
