i nipped to decathlon yesterday.......this is a sailing 500 jacket...i cant remember which window cleaner who recommended them to me a while ago....whoever he was he was right!these jackets are a lot more heavy duty and half the price of the goretex berghaus/northface jackets.....I bet they are a lot more waterproof too.....

the boots are forclaz 700s.....the berghaus ones i used to recommend have got worse and worse over the years (in quality IMO).they used to last around 18 months waterproof but the last 2 pairs have lasted 8 or 9 months then their letting in water...not good.... >:(

Theres no way you can avoid working in the rain if you have a busy workload and you want the days off YOU want off.....

i cant bear wet feet when out and about......

jacket £85
boots £100

Why does it say ‘rising in fresh water’ & ‘double rising’ on the label?

You been buying cheap chinese copies again Dazmond? ;D

It just might help another window cleaner......I'll be asked how much they cost anyway.....

The jacket feels really good quality for the price and ideal for wet weather working on a cold day in winter...👍

Got myself a pair of Berghaus Hillmaster 2 boots, a bit heavier than the walking shoes I normally wear (mammut or Solomon) buy hopefully they last as long and not the ones that Dazmonds talking about.

I’d rather stay in the warm and dry than dress up for a round the world yacht race. :D

No we don't mate full time guys maybe but I do around 20 hours per week and have never needed to work in the rain, 10 years ago I was Seank, Slacky is putting it around that I was a member known as ewan and if you believe a word that comes out of Slacky's mouth then you're a bigger fool than I give you credit for.

If anyone lives within travelling distance to York there is an outlet mall there that has a Musto shop. Musto is a brand that do lot of ‘round the world’ yachting clothing ( they are a major sponsor of these races) IMO they sell the best waterproof gear going,  normally it is well out of my price range but There outlet shop sells a lot of trial gear ( clothing designed but never got into mass production)

We get all our clothing for pressure washing  from here which look incredibly professional and People who know quality recognise the brand.

These are what we wear in winter with their jackets, they are designed for extreme wet weather and very comfortable, and massively cheaper that listed here

your sooooo easy to wind up sean!! ;D ;D ;D

my average hours are 25-30 a week(including admin, end of the day jobs and collecting/chasing debts)sometimes less but i still have to work in the rain sometimes to keep to my schedule.

so for example if your 3 hours into your workday on a friday and the heavens open and you have 2 hours work left to do.......do you pack up and go home and come back saturday? OR leave it until monday? ::)roll

not a chance!they get done on friday in the rain so i can have the weekend off and i start fresh on monday without any of the previous weeks work left to do(esp if its 4 weekly work).....

besides im off on holiday in a few weeks ( 5 star hotel for a week with the missus)so i keep to my schedule come rain or shine... 8)
