i just use black soil pipes (from B&Q)cut to size......AND HEAVY DUTY ZIP TIES to fix them to my inside roof..i remember spruce saying they wouldnt last 5 mins.....well they ve been up for nearly 3 years now and still solid as a rock... i use door cards from grippatank for spare brushes/goosenecks and odds and ends like PTFE spray/WD40/hand wash/trad detergent/CIF cream cleaner/sticky stuff remover,etc.....

Daz, you have to realise where I come from. I grew up in a mining town and supplied goods into the mining industry. I can tell you that those miners destroyed everything. So I was recalling past experience.If you were going to build a bridge for foot traffic you might consider a maximum weight of 5 tonnes in use. So you design it to carry 10 tonnes to be safe. Over in Africa you build it to hold 100 tonnes. In all probability you might be called back to it to find your bridge is bent. A day or 2 later you will find that the bridge has been stolen. .
This is an old photo but it shows what I use. 4 small joist hangers and 2 lengths of timber, much cheapness.
