i have a gutter vac from grippa tank that i bought 7 years + ago with a 6KVA genny.

the genny needs to be taken out of the van when in use as it can fall out if left running unnatended. however, it is too heavy for one man to lift in and out the van safetly, but its a waste of money to have 2 men on all the gutter jobs.

does anyone have a way of succuring the genny on the back of the van so it wont fall out? it needs to be temproaory so we can take the genny out the end of the day

Why does it fall out ?

Ours is on wheels and doesn’t move

Slacky has the best answer tie a rope or chain around the corner of frame and though a cargo eyelet

Never had ours fall out  of the van , ratchet strap it to something  or wooden frame round it screwed to the floor ??

the issue with that is you need the customer to be home, and that means you have to schedule around them

if we have a genny with us we can book as many clears in as we like on a day and are not bound to a time frame set by customers.

Shouldn’t be too difficult to bolt it through the floor if you wanted too but attaching it to cargo eyes would be the obvious choice. Just ratchet strap the frame. Just wondering.................. what holds it in place when your driving at the moment

Why do you need the customer to be at home

Most households these days have got leccy sockets outside, I have had a few whi haven't and they either left a extension hanging out the window for me or left garage open.

Your geny shouldn't be moving. Maybe checking the Idle speed may help?
